Just thought I’d share a green world I made for the Viennese jewellery maker @schullinwien . I love making these! Most of the plants were taken from a photo walk in Sheffield Botanical Gardens 🌿.

New year, new artist! Please join us in welcoming @richwells to the Jacky Winter roster! ✨

Maker of moving collages, Rich remixes place and memory with photos, video, paper and sounds to create 3D, dream-like worlds. Growing up in the ’90s, he loved taking photos but was always disappointed when the prints came back flat, distant and boring. Then one day he opened an art book and discovered David Hockney’s Pearblossom Highway. His mind was blown! He’s been making his own photo-joiners ever since.

Rich’s current tool of choice is a pair of Sheffield-made Earnest Wright scissors and his favourite antidote for doom-scrolling is drawing trees. 🌳
