Today we shared a work-in-progress performance of “Drawing Lines” at the Immersive Acts Symposium at @royalcollegeofart Here are some snippets from the show.

Drawing Lines is a live performance exploring the relationship between the moving body, sound, and technology. We explore the use of HCI in performance making, tracing movement and projecting it as trails on screen, finding moments that are fleeting, unrepeatable, and driven by kinaesthetic impulse. Technology here is an enabler, surfacing stimuli already latent within the body.

The project is being developed at the Snap Visualisation Lab at the RCA, supported by the VizLab Fund.

The fully realised show will be open to the public in May. Watch this space! Thank you for everyone who came to the symposium today.

Interactive Performance Research @royalcollegeofart RCA 🎭✨

Recently joined an immersive performance research project developed with tutors from the Royal College of Art and Kingston University.
I’m part of the creative team, working on real-time interaction and visuals.

This clip shows a test chapter — a semi-improvised performance with a violinist and dancers, using motion capture and live data to let body, sound, and visuals breathe together.

Not about finishing a show,
but exploring how performance can grow when everything stays open.

It’s a work @freddie_hong_ @_sue.in and @giacomo.pini started in 2022.
And now it been bought to @royalcollegeofart
I‘m soooo honored that I can be part of it!

And we are #funded!

Small but agile team; Elise Hodson leading the futures design, @rian.stephens managing the Snap Inc. Vis Lab, @angelavujic supporting with neuroscience and 𝐦𝐞 handling the integration of #AR with the brain-computer interfaces (BCI).

With the award from the Research & Knowledge Exchange Vis Lab Fund, what started at @arselectronica as a crazy dream, can now become an immersive experience grounded in engineering research at the @royalcollegeofart.

Augmented realities and #wearable #biosensors are moving into the commodity space.

𝘐𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘵 is both a research project and a woodland point cloud wander. It explores opportunities for personalising digital content with brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) and machine learning systems that decode user emotional states from physiological signals.

We are starting in August!

Very excited for this one.

Thank you MiddleVR for the sponsorship of the software licence to expand the capabilities of our #CAVE with AR.
