[ENG] Barely a dozen years ago, it seemed incredible to me that type designers of the stature of Ramiro Espinoza could have the slightest interest in knowing what I was doing in my workshop. But the truth is that thanks to BunkerType I was able to personally meet many admired professionals. From those visits, friendships and projects were born, such as the one I have recalled these days, following the presentation of @brutaltypes . Not long before, @retypefoundry had presented Kurversbrug, a revival of the typeface from the iconic signs on Amsterdam’s bridges. The typeface, always materialized in iron, then became a vector element, and with our project we wanted to use it transformed into a wooden alphabet. From there came these compositions that we simply enjoyed and shared with our friends…

Ramiro Espinoza was born in Santa Fe, Argentina and studied graphic design at the Universidad Nacional del Litoral, Argentina. After graduation, he taught typography at the Universidad de Buenos Aires and worked as an in-house designer at El Litoral and La Nación newspapers.

Another great rebranding project by @thestonetwins. We are super proud to have designed the required lettering and Guyot Sans, the main type family used by the new identity.
We’re proud to unveil the brand identity for Het Muntgebouw – the former Royal Dutch Mint (Koninklijke Nederlandse Munt) – now lovingly restored and transformed into a mixed-use building that blends work, leisure, and culture.
Our design approach draws from Het Muntgebouw’s rich heritage and the skilled craftsmanship behind its restoration, while embodying the building’s renewed spirit and ambition. For example, the logo features typography inspired by the Juliana Guilder coin series by Ludwig Oswald Wenckebach, minted in the millions within this monumental building. The small icons pay homage to ‘mint marks’ and can be adapted for different themes or messaging.
A big thank you to Jet, Daan, and Pim for an enriching collaboration, and to Ramiro Espinoza for the beautiful typography.
