This song began as an experiment in 2020. I got stuck in Austin at the beginning of the Pandemic. I put down a bass part on Danโs combo organ and he started layering drums and synths and Scam City was born. Itโs a song about numbness vs empathy, about the fear of not being able to breathe, about a violent and reckless government, about holding on for dear life, a love song for the living. Donโt you feel is a demand we sometimes say to ourselves just to make it to tomorrow.
Special thanks to @danceyjenkins for gassing me up for the last 5 years and being such a good producer, musical mentor and friend.
