So... this dropped today, and honestly, when I picked up the physical copy, my hands got sweaty. The Chicago Reader has been a go-to resource for me since the day I moved to Chicago. I never thought in a million years that one of my shots would be on the cover.

I have lived an artist's life my entire time on this earth. I personally know and have witnessed how art can save a person. Without it there would be an unfillable void in the world. We are witnessing a loss of our humanity, and sadly, we've seen this before. Many, many times. Too many to count. The artists of the world have always continued to create for their own survival and for anyone and everyone who needs it. Books, dance, fine art, film, music, photography, the theater. They all contribute to lifting up the collective. Don't stop creating because art truly does heal and during horrific times like these it is vital for us all.
