Reflection on the future of design and its role in shaping modern society. Organizing festivals, exhibitions, competitions, lectures, and workshops, both in Poland and across Europe and the world.

Rene Wawrzkiewicz je grafički dizajner i kustos za dizajn. Jedan je od osnivača fondacije “The Polish Graphic Design”, kao i mreže “The Network Eastern European Design”. Bio je kurator i koordinator više inicijativa i projekata vezanih za fondaciju Polish Graphic Design: “Festival of Eastern European Design”, “Polish Graphic Design Talks, “Polish Graphic Design Awards”, “TypoPolo,” i izložbe “The Polish Exhibition of Graphic Symbols” u Muzeju moderne umjetnosti u Varšavi.

Rene Wawrzkiewicz is a graphic designer and design curator. He is a co-founder of The Polish Graphic Design Foundation and The Network Eastern European Design. He is the curator and coordinator of numerous initiatives and projects connected with Polish graphic design, including the “Festival of Eastern European Design” (a design festival), “Polish Graphic Design Talks” (design conferences), “Polish Graphic Design Awards” (design competitions), “TypoPolo,” and “The Polish Exhibition of Graphic Symbols” (exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw).

Finding your way in Polish graphic design
That’s what Rene Wawrzkiewicz will explore in his talk “How to be a visual designer and graphic artist in Poland?”. He will share the skills essential for working in the local market and collaborating with Polish clients. Expect proven methods, practical techniques and
simple tricks that make everyday design work easier. He’ll also reveal the real – and sometimes difficult – backstage of the industry - how the market truly operates and the unwritten rules every designer has to face. Rene Wawrzkiewicz hardly needs an introduction, but here it is. Co-founder of Mamastudio – one of the first branding studios in Poland – and of the Association of Applied Graphic Designers (STGU).
