Hope everyone had a fun and safe best-holiday-of-the-year (aka HALLOWEEN)! I’m at the age and parental bracket in which themed costumes are a thing, as you can see from the last two years. But can you correctly identify who I was this year (it’s a little tricky)…
PS: carving pumpkins while watching CARVED is a new holiday tradition! Give it a try, your kids will love it!

Last month, I celebrated a significant milestone that I don’t speak or post about often. April 7, 2025, marked my 10 year “trailversary” (anniversary) for when I first began my AT thru-hike. Perhaps more importantly, it marked 10 years without a drink. And I had the opportunity to take my little family up to Amicalola Falls and Springer Mountain to show them where it all began…
When I reflect on the past 10 years, it’s hard to wrap my head around everything that has happened. From living and working in Hawaii and then a cruise ship in Alaska, to Chicago’s theatre scene, to Hogsmeade in Japan, to Waterworld in Singapore, then a global pandemic while getting married and the birth of my beautiful daughter, to life and adventures in the Philippines, and back to the US, finally landing in crazy and chaotic Atlanta. As the Dead once said, “What a long strange trip it’s been!” It feels like a lifetime has passed since I last tasted alcohol… and I wouldn’t change a thing.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has helped me along the way, and to everyone that stuck around through my “before” to see my “after” - I love you guys! Here’s to a life with living!
*Full post can be found on my Facebook page
P.S. If you (or someone you know) can relate to who I used to be and are looking, thinking, searching, or praying for a way out, please feel free to message me. I’m here to listen, talk, and offer whatever I can in the way of help and advice. Don’t be shy, afraid, or ashamed, because believe me, I understand and I truly want to help, for it’s through helping others that we ultimately help ourselves. And remember, “It’s never too late to be who we might have been.” - George Eliot

WARNING: Gruesome, bloody pics to follow!
Since we moved down to Atlanta, I’ve been very blessed to be a part of many productions. However, this particular film was one of my first…
Filmed on location in Kentucky, I was brought in for a very particular death scene. Being bald definitely worked in my favor for this casting and it was an absolute blast being killed alongside some very talented actors. Without giving too much away, let’s just say that it’s a fun Halloween (pumpkin) slasher film that’s currently #1 on Hulu!!
So, if you’re a fan of my work (there’s gotta be at least 1 or 2 of you out there), or you’re a horror movie junkie like myself, or maybe you don’t like me at all and have secretly wanted to see me die a gruesome death, then this movie is for you!
Ladies and gentlemen, for your Halloween viewing pleasure, I present to you… CARVED!
Special thanks to @bmgatlanta for helping me book my first major feature in ATL!
Note: Multiple pumpkins were absolutely harmed in the making of this movie.

What is four years?
When you consider a global pandemic, lockdowns, living in multiple cities, countries, continents, and islands, weathering accidents, blessings and mishaps, successes and failures, growth, loss, bruises, cuts, scrapes, scares, and all of life’s ups and downs, you realize that there really is only one constant: Love. And the love between this father and daughter has grown exponentially with each passing second. That’s 126,144,000 seconds y’all.
This right here… this is four years of love.

I hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday and is enjoying the last few days of 2023! As the week between Christmas and NYE typically involves a lot of binge-watching, there’s a little something I’d like to share…
A few posts ago, I mentioned that I had done some film work while living in the Philippines. Two TV shows, three commercials, and one movie to be exact. One of the projects, “Almost Paradise,” is an American show that was filmed in Cebu and can be streamed thru Freevee. My episode (season 2, episode 8, “Uncoupled”) aired months ago and now that a few people have spotted me in it, I figured I’d make a post!
“Almost Paradise” follows a former DEA agent who lives in the Philippines and starts taking down local bad guys. Each episode is a new adventure and mine involves a dangerous cult under the guise of a couples retreat. Working with stars Christian Kane and Sam Richelle, as well as my co-star Elena Kozlova and director Hannah Espia was an absolute pleasure. My part is small but the experience was huge and I had a blast doing it. The hardest part was leaving my little family in Manila for a week to go film it.
The other show, a local Philippine staple called “Magpakailanman” (try saying that five times fast) aired just over a year ago and can be found now on YouTube. I played a Canadian doctor (eh!) on the holiday episode, “A Christmas Miracle.”
The movie, an international feature film, is still in post-production so I’ll have more on that when it premieres.
Anyway, little roles beget bigger opportunities and I have high hopes for 2024! And now that we’ve finalized our relocation to Atlanta, I’m very excited to see what this next year has in store. I’ll keep you all updated (although I can’t promise that my posts will be timely - I’m working on that). Until then, have a great rest of your week and I’ll see you next year!

After a 3.5 year hiatus from live theatre/performances, I have returned to the stage! “Constellations” at Four County Players opened last weekend to a sold out opening night on Friday and a well-attended Saturday & Sunday. Guys, it feels good to be back..
This is a beast of a show, especially for an actor; 2 actors, 80 minutes, an intimate space, no intermission, and the list goes on. The subject matter tackles everything from life & death, love & loss to multiverse theory and existentialism, with a little bit of beekeeping mixed in. I have already learned a lot from this show and the learning continues every night when I take the stage. And if you’re in the Cville area, I’d love to share it with you!
The show runs Friday & Saturdays at 8pm, Sundays at 2:30pm until Oct. 15. You can get your tickets at http://fourcp.org/ . So, if you’re down to spend an evening with me (and an Irish accent to boot), mark you calendars. And let me know if you plan on coming so I can come say hi after the show!
As always, thanks for reading! 😉

THROWBACK (to last month) THURSDAY:
I’ve been meaning to give a big shout out to everyone who made it to my first ever book signing at Barnes & Noble last month! It was so great reconnecting and catching up with old friends - some that I hadn’t seen in 15+ years! I was really touched by the love and support from you all.
I would also like to give a huge THANK YOU to all my friends around the country (and world) who showed their support by ordering a book. There’s too many to list but y’all know who you are and I sincerely appreciate it.
I'm sure there will more signings in the future, maybe for the Cville book, but hopefully for a bigger piece of work that’s been in development for quite some time. Writing a book of any kind is incredibly difficult but y’all showered me with inspiration to keep on truckin. Until that next signing, thank you.
P.S. I still have a few books left if you want one, just shoot me a DM 😉

Writing a book of any kind is incredibly difficult but y’all showered me with inspiration to keep on truckin. Until that next signing, thank you.
P.S. I still have a few books left if you want one, just shoot me a DM 😉

A few months ago I mentioned that I had written a book... Well, it wasn’t a joke and I can finally say that I am a published author!
An ode to my hometown, “Greater Than a Tourist: Charlottesville” is out and slowly making its way to bookshelves in and around C-ville! If you want to visit C-ville, or ever thought about visiting C-ville, or if you just want to show me some love and support, please LET ME KNOW and I will personally send you a signed copy. I’m offering a special “family and homies” rate of $10 per book (after I sign it, it’ll be worth at least $10.25 so it’s a steal!)
I am very happy with my first foray into professional writing and am publicly stating for the universe (and my own self-doubting inner voice) to hear that there will be more books to come!Even if you don’t get a book, I appreciate your support. Hell, I appreciate you reading my long posts!
ATTN: ALL C-VILLE LOCALS: I’ll be having a book signing at Barnes & Noble on July 15, starting at 2pm!! If you’re in the area, I would REALLY appreciate your support at this event. It feels strange to even announce I’m having a book signing, never thought I’d see the day…
One last favor to ask: if any of you (still reading) are on the Goodreads app, please follow my author page! I also have an author page on Amazon so please follow that as well. This will be very helpful for future publications. Thank you!x3

Life is known for throwing its share of curveballs. And while my return to the US has undoubtedly been a joyous one, life has also thrown a number of pitches that not only curved out of sight but one that straight cracked me in the gut…
My arrival in the US started almost immediately with a trip to the ER when our little monkey (Melly) was jumping on the bed, then fell down and knocked her head. Three stitches later she was no worse for the wear. But still, every parent knows that their child’s first serious injury is especially difficult. I was crying as much as Melly when the doctor sewed her up.
The second curveball was finding a huge black snake at my bedroom doorstep. I’ve already made that post, no need to revisit it.
The third mishap occurred last week as Khezz and I were returning home from a show. I was driving down interstate 64 when a deer casually walked out into the road. I did what I was supposed to do and hit it head on. The airbags deployed and we were both a little banged up. My new(ish) car on the other hand was totaled.
These things happen and while they certainly suck and are incredibly inconvenient, they can eventually be fixed. And thus life goes on… until it doesn’t.
Yesterday, I received the devastating news that my half-brother Fred passed away in his sleep. He was young (only 54) and the news has left my family heartbroken…
Fred was one of the funniest people I’ve ever known and I can’t remember a day that he didn’t greet me with an infectious smile that won over everyone within reach. Although we weren’t always in constant contact, I loved him dearly and can’t quite imagine what life will be like without him. It’s with a heavy heart that I ask for all of your prayers and positive vibes for myself and my family during this time.
We will miss you always and forever Fred. And as you always said, may your soul live on with “peace, love, and cupcakes!”

I literally woke up to my absolute worst nightmare…
I brought my family out to stay in the country for a few weeks at my aunt’s place while she was away on vacation. This morning I woke up, opened the bedroom door and then screamed louder than I ever have before. This huge 3ft. black snake was right outside the bedroom. Anyone who knows me knows my intense fear of snakes. I immediately started shaking and sweating and thought for a second I might pass out.
I ran to the neighbor’s house like a little girl and enlisted Jim to help catch the serpent. I say “help” but I actually did nothing but whimper while he caught it and took it out… I may never sleep well again. I hope my new insurance covers therapy sessions!
The icing on the cake was going outside and finding a baby bat that had fallen out of its (nest?) behind the shutters over the garage. Luckily I’m not afraid of bats but then again, I’d rather not have them living above my car. I think it’s time to head back to the city!
