Love, gratitude and success… This is something that I’ve been thinking about a lot lately. Being thankful for so much in this world right now while so much is crumbling around us… Record Surplus is my home and I have to say that our customers are some of the most amazing, supportive people I could ever ask for. From those who have been with us since the beginning 40 years ago to the people who just started shopping here last week… All of you help keep this shop, this business going. Making it a success… More than that you all keep us going in this community. All of you who show up daily, weekly monthly…for the store events, the concerts, Record Store Day, the sales. We try to keep this place a special part of Los Angeles and we appreciate you all so very much…. this record community… All the rockers, all the hip-hop heads, all the dancers, all the classical folks, all the jazz cats, all the country and rural music fans and more… to all the people collecting DVDs, CDs and Tapes… we all do this together… seeing all your faces all your smiles and sadly yes sometimes disappointment… We all feel this together. And I don’t mean just here at our shop. I also mean out there at other record shops, at the record fairs, at the swap meets. We’re all digging together and I hope you all see and feel it that way as well. I hope we can keep doing our best to be the best that we can be and the strongest we can be so we can lift others up around us. Thank you all so very much for your continued support.
