New work for @saha_gnawa self-titled debut released by @piquenique.nyc

Saha Gnawa merges Moroccan Gnawa with NYC jazz and groove, channeling North African futurism through cross-cultural improvisation. The album artwork mirrors this sonic duality, blending spiritual Moroccan motifs with the kinetic energy of contemporary improvisation. The presence of the snake, drawn from Sufi mysticism, becomes a visual metaphor for transformation, echoing the album’s spiritual resonance.

Saha Gnawa builds on the legacy of Innov Gnawa, who were nominated for a GRAMMY for Best Electronic Dance Track for their 2017 collaboration with Bonobo, “Bambro Koyo Ganda.”

Special shout-out to @iamloum and @proud_foot from @piquenique.nyc for being the best partners and always supporting and pushing creative ideas further, and to @boharat_typefoundry for letting me mess around with their crazy typefaces 🤝

Visual campaign for Zinemakumeak 2025, the festival in Bilbao marking 30 years of celebrating films directed by women.

Inspired by the sequential and progressive nature of the feminist avant-garde, the campaign unfolds frame by frame, revealing a custom typeface in motion. A typographic system shaped by time, like film itself.

Grateful to the @zinemakumeakgara team for bringing me back to my hometown through this project.
And huge thanks to @laiaferran for the animation and to @doreuli from @contrastfoundry for CoFo Gothic

[SOUND ON]
What if a software company could teach the world to speak music?

This project holds a special place for us. We first met at @thisiscollins, brought together by a shared love of music, and it was COLLINS that gave us the opportunity to channel that passion by leading this project. It marked the beginning of a creative bond that still carries on today, born from the spirit of experimentation that COLLINS fostered, and one that allowed us to push the boundaries of how sound and visuals collide.

Muse Group built some of the most powerful music tools on the planet—Ultimate Guitar, Audacity, MuseScore. But while their products were beloved by 400 million users, the brand behind them remained quiet. No shared voice. No emotional center. No clear identity.

We helped Muse reposition itself as a Creative Fluency Company—a brand dedicated to helping anyone reach a state where musical expression becomes second nature. A state where creation flows freely.

Explore how we helped transform a silent powerhouse into a fluent brand. Full case study → link in bio

[SOUND ON] Visual scores where paintings become music 👁️🎶👁️

For the sixth year in a row, we’ve created the campaign for @museothyssen / @momentosalhambra concert series.

This year’s concept bridges art and music through a new route across the museum’s permanent collection: “Music for the Eyes”, a curated selection of paintings that are literally or symbolically connected to music.

We turned the campaign into ten visual scores using artworks from the collection. In these scores the canvas becomes resonance, chiaroscuros turn into timbres, and brushstrokes transform into melodic lines.

The 10 music compositions are reinterpretations of classical pieces from different centuries including Philip Glass, Claude Debussy, Arvo Pärt and Bach, among others, composed by @bruma_sounds

Thank you @museothyssen for supporting the visual work with the collection year after year and for allowing us, this time, to translate it into sound.

Creative direction & design: Rebeka Arce
Animation: @nachovelasco_
Music: @bruma_sounds
Thyssen Museum's team: @alejandraqueizan and Samir Ajouau.

This post comes with a bit of delay, but I guess it’s worth saying @farbodkokabi and I got a Grammy nomination and that classic Getty Images watermark. Goals in life. Thanks ❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️

The 90 Day Men: We Blame Chicago boxset was recently nominated for a Grammy. Massive props to Rebeka Arce and Farbod Kokabi on their Numero Group design debut. It's been an awesome ride working on this set and can't wait to cap it off while capping off the whole year next month at Empty Bottle here in Chicago.

🚨 Poster design for @steamdown's return to NY this Friday 🚨

Hailing from a sweaty café under the railway tracks in south-east London, Steam Down nights have been anointed by Mixmag as London’s “most exciting club night”.

Last year @farbodkokabi reached out to me. We were both eager to join forces. “Want to tackle this together?” I was all in. What followed was a wonderful mix of collaboration, inspiring learning, and a reaffirmation of my admiration for him as a person, an artist, for his taste, and his vision.

And this is is the result of that. A box set design for @90daymen released by @thenumerogroup, a record label known for compiling previously released music.

Eschewing trend and time, 90 Day Men was as ornate band as it was alienating, transcending genre and embracing the strange, writting itself into the lexicon of Chicago music history.

This 5LP set collects the band’s three studio albums and a previously unreleased 2001 Peel Session, plus EPs, singles, and outtakes, all detailed within a 68-page oral history curated by Tim Kinsella and a bonus limited edition cassette designed by the beloved @emily_sneddon

Thanks @farbodkokabi, @bcase, @adamluksetich and @emily_sneddon 🧡🤍

Bringing Marginalized Stories to the Forefront 👵🏼👦✝️🏊

The margin includes everything on the outskirts of a dominant center, left out of the spotlight. What happens in the margins often goes unnoticed in social and political discussions. But what if we bring those stories to the center stage? It’s a move from one space to another, aiming to make us question and challenge the stereotypes we tend to avoid because they make us uncomfortable.

This idea guided the creative campaign for @margenes_cine International Festival of Madrid, where we showcase @laura_silleras’ portrayal of El Cabanyal’s story as a central part of the Festival’s communication.

Thanks @peladelalamo @annamaria.scaramella, all Márgenes team ❤️🖤🤍
