Friends, it’s been a minute or two since I posted anything about me, my work or what we do down at Honest Electronics. It’s been a hell of a year or two and it seems like we ( @ambrose.alexis ) are again on a path we can be excited about.

For the last couple of months I’ve been in another creative cocoon mode, hence the isolation, I really wish I could be more social and support more initiatives and artists. I’ve been spending my free time producing, on a new setup I can rely and be creative and be free with.

The next gig is tomorrow 15th November, it’s the afterparty of the wonderful initiative by @afternoon_project_nicosia called UNSELFING AWARENESS which is not to be missed. The afterparty is co-organised by @honestelectronics and @sllip.club and for it I’ll be opening for the incredible @michaelmelchner . I took this initiative to craft a set that includes a lot of my tracks, new tracks that resemble the RAW SILVER atmosphere and state of mind, hence the comeback.

The track is called “SUN THE RAIN THEN SUN AGAIN” and even though I’m not a particularly confident person, this is a track and direction that I’m very proud of. Autumn’s sunsets are one of my favourite things, there’s a game with the light and darkness between clouds, rain and veins of sunlight, this track is a tribute to this phenomena and feeling.

OUT NOW: a new edition from our record label Eternal/Return (@etre.audio) an EP entitled ‘venexia’ by ioli (@ioli_her) . This is an emphatic and intricate techno-oriented set of tracks that came as part of the artist’s response to visiting Venice, a city which shares a lot in common with the artist’s hometown of Nicosia: the architecture of the Venetian walls, for example. Yet, in the context of Cyprus, these walls are also a symbol of the postcolonial history of Cyprus. In this work, venexia, ioli is responding to the collision of these two cities.

Alongside the work, the artist prepared a recital, an actualization of the EPs tracks, or a realisation of the work.
