The past few months have been weighing in me. I came here to seek refuge in my first home but the conditions are atrocious and I need to leave as an act of self love and self preservation. Please help me meet this goal ASAP !! Any and all donations ADD UP.My fatigue and severe anxiety have been eating me up. I’ve been in a forced state of functional depression. I’m tired. I’m furious. I’m fighting to get some real rest. I have loved being able to make a home formyself for the first time in my life, and now I’m looking forward to making it in a safer space. I’ve been struggling to articulate all that’s been going on with my housing & it’s been really hard but basically— I need to raise funds in order to apply for another apt AND secure it. I’m working to make sure I sustainably leave where I live. I’m hopeful that with the support of my loved ones and beloved community that my move can go smoothly. It’s been so hard for me to come to this point but I can’t stay silent any longer. If all my followers sent $8 my goal would be met!! { SWIPE 4 APT PICS}

On Dec. 6th my apartment building had a fire that destroyed 2 apartments due to a targeted car explosion. This was set off on purpose!!! My apartment was safe from the fire but since then the landlord has notified us that our rent is being raised 4% and I believe it’s because of this fire. 2 homes were completely consumed and it left enough damage that these apartments need major renovations in order to be safe to live in again. Since November my upstairs neighbor has clogged his kitchen sink 2-3 times and it has caused water damage that has resulted in my kitchen ceiling collapsing.

I have been unable to use my kitchen counters because a leak in my ceiling keeps causing them to flood in less than a day.
I have exhausted all my resources trying to keep myself sane while living here and I’ve reached my limit!!! Please share my flyer so that I can afford to live somewhere that isn’t owned by my slumlord and so I can live my life in peace! DM me for the flyer bc my profile will be remaining private. We recently had an enriching gathering with our Two-Spirit cohort, engaging in a sacred talking circle. ⭕️

Together, we explored the profound impact of our personal journeys and experiences within the Two-Spirit community on our mental health. 🪶🌈 
 
This project is coordinated by @indigenous__princess and co-facilitated by @sirmrwombat and @rain.alchemy on behalf of @wombatmhs and in partnership with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health Stakeholder Engagement Unit Underserved Cultural Communities (UsCC) Mental Health Services Act (MHSA). @lacdmh

Our focus is to enhance the mental health system’s capacity to serve the LGBTQIA2-S communities in Los Angeles County through culturally appropriate services and capacity building projects.

The Two-Spirit Storytelling as Medicine Project is designed to uplift and support the Two-Spirit community, a group often underserved and hard-to-reach. The project promotes awareness and understanding through culturally sensitive gatherings and holistic wellness activities. It aims to increase mental health awareness, develop culturally appropriate practices and resources, and provide a platform for wellness activities that resonate with the community’s cultural roots. The goal is to shift existing narratives about the Two-Spirit path, elevating their visibility while educating the broader population.

It’s been such an epic blow to my heart to have lost my godmother and tía to a cancer she fought to survive for the past 8 years. I’m devastated to have lost one of the most powerful pillars in our family of monarchs. My family and I are relieved only because she’s not in pain anymore.

I primarily credit my open-heartedness and shameless tenacity to her raising me. She was such a Capricorn and a force to be reckoned with!! She taught me to demand respect from the people around me, love unconditionally, and perform Bolivian folkloric dances since I was 3. Growing up, my cousins and the children she nannied all called her Mom because that’s exactly who she was to all of us. No loss I’ve ever experienced could compare to losing my mom. She understood me better than any adult in my life and from a young age she nurtured my curiosity. She gave birth to my best friend a month before my 1st birthday and taught us so much about what it means to love others and ourselves.

I’m so grateful to have gained such an amazing ancestor who I can already feel around me. This woman saved my life and gave me much perspective so patiently throughout my life. I’m going to miss her laugh and her hugs more than anything but I’m so glad she’s finally okay.
