We’re wrapping things up! With Typofix, we’re heading to the @atypi_org conference at Stanford University, where we’ll present both the printed manual and a test version of the online app.
📍Will you be at AtypI and want to be among the first to try Typofix app? Sign up for the workshop w/ @filipdesigniq and @radeksidun — link in bio🔗

🟡Typofix is like your favourite online translator, but for typography — a proofreading tool that automatically fixes typographic mistakes for all EU languages. Built with local language and typographic experts, it helps graphic designers, editors, and publishers create consistent, language-aware typography with less manual work, using a trusted database of typographic rules.

Supported by @umprum_praha and @tacr_official Programme SIGMA.

Today, typographer Jiří Rathouský would have celebrated his 102nd birthday and we are happy to share this week’s launch of the newly published book System Rathouský – Metro, Typo, Info Design 🎂
The publication presents a comprehensive overview of the lifelong work of Jiří Rathouský (20 April 1924 – 5 September 2003), one of the most significant Czech designers and typographers of the second half of the 20th century, outlining the principal areas of his creative and conceptual thinking within visual communication.

One of the contributors is @radeksidun – his chapter is devoted entirely to Rathouský’s type design, presenting newly discovered proposals and previously unseen material, and offering fresh insights into the development and significance of his typographic work.

All the texts were analytically developed by experts in graphic design and visual communication: @petr_babak, Pavel Coufalík, Helena Maňasová Hradská, @martin_pecina_typograf, Pavel Ryška and @radeksidun, edited by Marta Sylvestrová.

🎾 Join us for the book launch on Wednesday, April 22, at 6:00 p.m. at @artarchiv@doxprague.
Systém Rathouský – Metro, Typo, Info Design
Pages: 431
Binding: Hardcover
Year of publication: 2026

To mark the 165th anniversary of our factory in Bystřice pod Hostýnem, graphic designer and typographer @radeksidun has created a series of posters for us.

From among many designs, we selected four final versions, which were produced using traditional screen-printing techniques.

You’ll be able to see them soon in our showrooms.

Design Talks #02 in Warsaw 🎤✨:

Huge thanks for the perfectly organised event in Warsaw 🙌
The lecture within @polishgraphicdesign was a real pleasure — great production, focused audience, no chaos, just genuine interest in typography and design. This is how a design talk should feel.
Huge respect to the organisers and everyone behind this 👏

Made in Central Europe: “When the entire world is written in one script, what does it actually mean to be local?”
The talk, presented by @radeksidun, explored how typography of the late 20th century is usually interpreted through a Western lens, while Central Europe — with its rich but less visible heritage — remains on the margins.
How do we maintain local authenticity in a global visual culture without falling into nostalgia?
Type travels through time. What once was fashionable can gain new meaning today. The lecture focused on parallels between past and present, the thin line between inspiration and copying, and why it still isn’t “sexy” to admit that even a new font can grow from historical roots.

🎤 Greetings to all amazing speakers included:
📍 @kyivtypefoundry — Yevgeniy Anfalov (Kyiv Type Foundry)
📍 @dominikatobola — Dominika Toboła (Neon Museum, Warsaw
📍 abcdinamo — Johannes Breyer (Dinamo Typefaces)
📍 @kiel.d.m — Kiel Danger Mutschelknaus
📍 @booksloveliza — Liza Enebeis (Studio Dumbar)
📍 @eps51 — Ben Wittner (Eps51)
📍 @radeksidun Radek Sidun (Briefcase Type Foundry)

Thank you, Warsaw.
Central Europe isn’t the periphery — it’s a source. ✊
