More Loom praccies for our second gig at Pollinate festival @hospitalfield on August 9th ❤️

This beauty of an album was released last Friday 18th and amazingly has sold out of physical copies already (more on the way!). There are some proper great artists on there (@bellesglasgow @richarddawsonofficial ❤️) and a debut release for my wee band Loom. The most special song on there for me is the Palestinian Edward Said National Conservatory of Music Choirs 🍉❤️.

Put together by brilliant musician Aby Vulliamy, the album raises money for @palmedacademy_

It's nearly time for the next Lowdown session! This Thursday 19th June , we'll be welcoming incredible multi-talented musician @rachelparp, along with Aberdeen piano ace Neil Birse, and crack Dundee rhythm pair @iamsethb on bass and Andy James on drums. Rachel is a jazz singer, trumpet session player (recently working with @a_wasylyk, amongst others), folk singer-songwriter and games audio wizz originally from Dublin, and got to Tayside via studying music at Chichester while working on the Brighton scene. Neil was last in Dundee as part of the house band playing behind Harben Kay, wowing the Lowdown audience with his craft and harmonic imagination. Both Seth and Andy will be well known to Dundee jazz audiences. As always, there'll be a house band set from 8.30, then an open session where any and all jazz musicians and singers are welcome to sit in. Thanks to our funding from Creative Scotland, entry is completely free - come and check it out! Groucho's is at 132 Nethergate, Dundee, DD1 4ED, on the 5, 73 and 17 bus route, and 10 minutes walk from the train station. We'd love to see you!

Big thank you to Newport Bowling Club for being brilliant hosts and training up the next generation of mini bowlers. Extra special thanks to @fraserlaeto for inadvertently ending up doing live sound after a 20 year hiatus, and while looking after the wee ones ❤️ Lovely photo by @kevin_linnett 🙏🏾

So good to see an appetite for off piste music in our little town! More of that please.

Signed myself for a half marathon in August and will be doing a bit of fundraising for @medicalaidpal - a charity that supports the healthcare needs of vulnerable Palestinians. Donations would be massively appreciated ❤️🍉☮️
