Queerspace kickabouts are fun, free, non-competitive and beginner friendly football space for queer women, trans and non-binary people.

Sunday kickabouts will still happen when we have numbers and weather on our side. Check our story morning of to see if we’re going ahead!

💫 Our new 2026 fundraiser is live! 🚀

We are currently fundraising to subsidise the participation of our unwaged and low-income members in all our activities (think league/travel costs + social events) and to cover some of our operational costs (think balls, bibs, pitches + first aid kits) ⚽️⛑️🥅🤝🌱🎟️🚇

queerspace was founded in 2015 with the intention of creating a regular radical community space for queers in east London - which has evolved into our free weekly kickabouts for cis queer women, trans men + women, intersex people, and nonbinary and gnc people. we have also played in trans inclusive, non FA affiliated 5 a side and 11 a side leagues, and organise to make community football more accessible, radical + political 🚩🤝⚽️

whilst most of what we need is donated/shared amongst the group, we really need some help supporting our players with access to trans inclusive football spaces beyond our free kickabout sessions

Due to low interest and low organiser capacity, we have decided to ❌ cancel ❌ our Sunday kickabouts sessions in Hackney Downs until mid September.

Stay tuned for updates on more opportunities where you can come play with us!! ⚽🤝✨

Join us from 4pm-6pm on Sunday 13th July for a special kickabout to celebrate our 9th birthday!!! 🎁🎉🥳

We’ll be starting later than our usual time of 2pm because after we’ve exhausted all our playing football energy, we will head over to the @wingandaprayerpub for 7pm to catch the England v Wales match at 8pm 👀⚽🎉

We have an ongoing solidarity fund to help support players with expenses, but need your help boosting it.

⚽️ Call-out: Clean clothes, knick-knacks or items in good condition! Anything that does not sell will go to the charity shop, so please be mindful about donating items that someone might want to buy. Quality over quantity!!

⚽️ Collection: We will hold a collection at kickabout this Sunday (Hackney Downs @ 2pm). If you cannot make kickabout but would like to drop off donations to a set location in Hackney on or before Saturday 5th April, DM to arrange.
