Another school mural in progress. Children’s books characters are slowing popping out of the rough sketching lines. This is just half of what the whole mural will be…a long hallway that wraps up the entire building.

Dru embodied hip-hop. I can't remember a time we hung out where he didnt freestyle and absolutely blow everyone away. His positive attitude was infectious. He showed up to MANY @projectivity events, and after tearing down the mic, he would help encourage others and stick around to the end to help pack up all the equipment, and even carry turntables to the car down the block.
He came to the @houseofdreamsnyc studio as an artist and a supporter and friend of dozens of other local musicians. His contributions to the hihop scene on Staten Island need to be remembered.

Here is Dru getting busy in some of our Open Cyphers. Honestly, I think he was at almost every cypher we ever held and I had to stop including him in all the videos cuz would alway body it and freestyle for like 5 minutes straight and there was no room for anyone else in the videos!! Dude was just an emcee animal you had to know to appreciate.
You can also check him out on our OPTIONS mixtape on SoundCloud where he added his honest, street perspective to our anti-violence series. He basically freestyled those whole songs also. Dru was just an amazing talent and person all around.
You will be missed homie. Lets keep the legacy alive. RIP DruGunnz

@Projectivity is teaming up with @makerspacenyc to beautify the shipping containers in Makerpark on Front St!

The deadline to apply is Friday May 15, 2026 and artists will be notified of their selection on June 1. Murals will be painted during June/July with the opening date TBD later in the summer.

Artists apply with your idea- the theme is loosely anything to do with making / makerspace / makerpark but we are open to all ideas. You can choose a short side of a shipping container (approx 8' x 8'), or a long side (approx 8' x 20'.) Projectivity will work with artists to determine final mural locations.

I know there’s a lot of mural activity happening along the JFX right now, but I’m waiting for that to finish up.

In the meantime here are two pics of the 📍 Lafayette & Aiken Park in the Oliver neighborhood. Really nice job with the colors and the letters. 🎨 Painted by @christianpenn1 and @projectivity .

Unfortunately, while I was there, I saw lots of drug activity and zero children. (Sigh)
