double duty @matronisaband + @lyla2flyla last night was a DREAM 💭 not to mention the rest of that bill 😮‍💨 a time chalk full of some of my favourite humans/musicians in New Orleans (and ever). best way to close out this crazy run of fest szn gigs 💓 special thx to @sashamasakowski for always being such a kindred creative soul and asking my input on the lineup ~ having me play twice! if you’re ever thinking about resurrecting an old beloved project for one more show and everyone’s down… just do it. The joy is truly incomparable ahhhhhhh 🎥: @progressionmusicseries

Nick will be doing a late night set with his solo project - an improvised hardware set of sequences and effects applied to sampled sounds of the Nintendo Gameboy, using the actual Gameboy he grew up playing as his controller 🔥🔥🔥

Anyone whose musical tastebuds lean towards experimental industrial dance music - this is for you 👂🏽🎮💥

🐣APRIL 27TH🐥 PROGRESSION FEST🐤

@sashamasakowski’s famed Progression Music Series evolves to festival form at Gasa Gasa this Jazz Fest season! 5 of New Orleans’ most innovative and groundbreaking bands will perform for Progression Fest. Back to back. All night long!

We’re excited to host the 10 year reunion of local prog rock legends, Hildegard, featuring Cliff Hines and Sasha Masakowski! As well as Matron, led by powerhouse vocalist Laura Fisher, and rising star Lyla George!

Opening the night is the incredibly innovative Rex Gregory, doing a solo electronic featuring some special guests. Nick Benoit will be closing the night with an Ableton to Game Boy controller set to scratch our nostalgic itch. And we also got DJ Tra$h Magnolia spinning before, in between, and after each set to keep the party rolling all through the night! 🪩
