2025. My first year as a real director.
From shooting solo music videos on frozen lakes to directing sets of 15+ people. The growth I’ve had this year has been unimaginable.
I directed my first short film and got accepted to a major festival. I travelled to new countries and cities. I met new people and solidified long term relationships. Needless to say…. I am proud of POP and of the person I am becoming.
To 2026 and beyond ✨

How to shoot better music videos: #reels
1) Use different framing methods.
Don’t shoot the entire music video on the same lens, in the same tripod. Switch it up, shoot some scenes wider, pick the camera up for some handheld movements, make it fun.
2) vary locations.
Personally there’s nothing more boring than a music video all shot in 1 location. If that is the case… use different angles and play with the space to make it feel like multiple locations!
3) be different!
Take inspiration from other videos and make sure to give it our own twist, your own style. That’s what makes a director good.
