Τάσος Στάμου / ηλεκτρονικοί ταλαντωτές, ζωντανή ηχητική επεξεργασία

Το Davadur και η σειρά Future Folk παρουσιάζουν μια ιδιαίτερη σύμπραξη μεταξύ του ιδιαίτερου κρητικού μουσικού Γιάγκου Χαιρέτη και του ηλεκτρακουστικού συνθέτη Τάσου Στάμου. Συνέχεια μιάς σειράς συναυλιών που εξερευνούν μουσικές γεωγραφίες από τη Νοτιοανατολική Μεσόγειο, μέσα στις οποίες συνυπάρχουν αρμονικά αλλά και έντονα τα άκρα μεταξύ του αρχαϊκού και του υπερσύγχρονου, το μουσικό αυτό ιεροτελεστικό εγχείρημα θα εμβαθύνει στις βαθύτερες ρίζες της μουσικής παράδοσης του νησιού της Κρήτης με τα όργανα και τη φωνή του Χαιρέτη, μέσα από ένα πρίσμα φουτουριστικού ηχητικού σύμπαντος των ηλεκτρακουστικών ηχοτοπίων του Στάμου.

Το A Musical Anthology είναι μια μουσική βραδιά που φέρνει σε επαφή το κλασικό ρεπερτόριο με τη σύγχρονη ηλεκτρονική σύνθεση, μέσα στον ιδιαίτερο χώρο του @plex.athens . Η συναυλία πραγματοποιείται με αφορμή την επιστροφή της Ariadne Westerkamp στη σκηνή μετά από δεκαπέντε χρόνια, αλλά και τη μουσική συνάντησή της με τον γιό της, Γεννάδιο Αρβανίτη (Degear0001).

Το πρώτο μέρος της βραδιάς περιλαμβάνει έργα για φωνή και πιάνο από το κλασικό ρεπερτόριο, με συνθέσεις των Franz Schubert, Erik Satie, Puccini και άλλων, γύρω από θεματικές όπως ο έρωτας, η άνοιξη και η νοσταλγία.

Στο δεύτερο μέρος, η βραδιά περνά σε ένα πιο ηλεκτρονικό και ατμοσφαιρικό περιβάλλον, με ζωντανές συνθέσεις του Γεννάδιου Αρβανίτη για ηλεκτρονικά όργανα και πιάνο. Χειροποίητα ηλεκτρονικά μέσα, επεξεργασμένοι ήχοι και ακουστικά στοιχεία συνδυάζονται με το πιάνο με ουρά, δημιουργώντας μια φυσική συνέχεια ανάμεσα στους δύο μουσικούς κόσμους της συναυλίας.
Ο χώρος του PLEX, με τη φθορά και τη βιομηχανική αισθητική του, λειτουργεί ως μέρος της εμπειρίας, δημιουργώντας μια αντίθεση με την καθαρότητα και τη λεπτομέρεια του κλασικού ήχου.

On 16.05, SOLACE invites you to PLEX @plex.athens for our very first Fashion Film Party: an evening dedicated to fashion, film, art, and music.

For this first edition, we will be screening NIGHTHAWK, the documentary-film project conceived by John Galliano for Maison Margiela and directed by Sasha Kasiuha, exploring the creative process behind the Maison Margiela Artisanal Spring/Summer 2024 collection. Released during Paris Fashion Week, the film unfolds as a cinematic séance, an eerie horror vignette exploring themes of memory, identity, and transformation through the lens of the show’s “offline” concept.

Alongside the screening, the space will host a curated exhibition featuring a selection of artists and creatives presenting works across various mediums.

And of course, no party is complete without the soundtrack, so expect a hot lineup of DJs carrying the night forward after the film.

Doors open at 20:00, with tickets available at the door for €7.

Electroacoustic Experimental Ski Club

At PLEX
on Thursday the 21st of May at 9-12pm

Five artists will lead the way through unknown electroacoustic experiments with frequencies of modular and analog synthesizers, circuit-bent-electronics, cymbals and metal plate trashes. The sound landscape on the ski trail will be pitch white, rotten oranges, ice blue, smell of noise and silence.

✦ THE BANNER

Exploring the inner world through sound, image, and expression.

On May 24, Plex transforms into a space where electronic music and visual art become a shared language, a way to connect, respond, and exist together in the moment.

At the center of the experience is “The Banner”
a large open canvas placed in each one of the 2 rooms, accessible to everyone.
A surface for spontaneous expression: draw, write, or leave your mark as you feel it.

By the end of the night, it becomes a complete visual record of the audience’s expression by capturing thoughts, emotions, and moments shared in the space.
The final Banners will be documented through photography as an archive of the event.

The environment unfolds through:

✦ A guest artist from Tbilisi, Georgia
✦ Artworks by Thanasis Megkos
✦ Audiovisuals by Misogi
