Alongside my normal track which included guitar arrangements I wrote and played for David Reiffel’s beautiful compositions, assistant music directing, and being fight captain for a very physically intense show (see slide 6); I also had the opportunity to go on for one of my understudy tracks as Oliver (slides 4-5). It was a wild experience split-tracking Oliver with the majority of my actor/musician track, and I couldn’t have felt more supported and loved the night by both the cast and crew. Hopping on The SpongeBob Musical trend! With the dance from the opening number making the rounds, I thought I’d share a different angle.

Just over a year ago, I had the pleasure of doing the Foley sound effects (and voicing the French Narrator and Gary the Snail) in The SpongeBob Musical @wheelockfamilytheatre

You can hear @maxjconnor killing it as SpongeBob. Max was an incredible collaborator as we came up with his physical and auditory vocabulary in lockstep.

The other half (and true hero) of the sound design team @backstagegage and I took home an Elliot Norton Award for our work on this production.
