One of my favorite projects from last year! We had an ambitious script and a tight budget, but everyone worked like crazy to pull this off!

I wanted to use this rotating shot to convey the characters feeling disarray and stress and my amazing DP Kyle had the idea to use a Ronin RS3 on a Dana Dolly so we could have it pushing in AND rotating.

Our camera/lighting crew of about three hustled and I’m really happy with what we were able to pull off. The production design team also made a huge difference. To make this already stressful and chaotic shoot schedule even more fun, we had a location cancel as we were on our way (due to an Airbnb host miscommunication) so we had to scramble to find our last location on the day of while on a coffee break.

When I was a kid we had a poster in the family room that had all the names of God on it and I always thought it was so cool. That 90s poster was the inspiration for this visual I created for @sundayscreens . Very cool to see it ministering at Passion last year. Yes, visuals can minister.

Hire a Team You Believe In

The best work doesn’t come from control, it comes from trust.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned in building creative teams is this:
find the best talent for the job, pay them for the value they create (not the “fair market rate”), and give them room to grow, and opportunities to teach.

Too often we get that backwards. We underpay, over-manage, and wonder why burnout sets in or why we can’t let go of creative control.

This week, a few of the most talented artists I know are running production in another city while I’m leading a different project here in DFW.
And you know what? It’s working. The work happening out of town is just as sharp, thoughtful, and gaining thousands of eyes every minute as the one I’m leading myself.

The takeaway: when you hire the best, you can trust them to build something even better.

This applies to more than production, it’s true of marketing, leadership, and entrepreneurship too.

Grateful for the creatives who believe in what we’re building and give their all to create brands worth believing in.

Terra Mediterranean serves up all the classics you love—gyro meat, saffron chicken, crispy pita, plus a huge variety of sides, sauces, and toppings. 🙌

The lunch buffet is one of the best values in town and every bite is packed with flavor.

When one of the best BBQ joints in Texas opens a rib-focused restaurant… you drop everything and go.

We hit up @ribbeestx for the pork back ribs, smoked chicken, crispy fries, and that house-made honey butter roll (no exaggeration—one of the best things we’ve ever eaten).

Simple menu. Big flavor. Go hungry.

🎬 PRODUCTION DAY VIBES at @makersgym!

When your team gets this excited about filming video tutorials, you know you’re onto something special ⚡

Our crew was in full filmmaker mode: adjusting lighting for that perfect product shot, testing camera angles to catch every button press, and yes... running the same payment demo on @square terminals about 47 times to get it just right 😅

The result? Content that’ll make even the most tech-hesitant event organizer feel like a pro 🔥

Drop a 🎥 if you’re ready to see what we’ve been cooking up!
