I can’t understand my own feelings well enough to explain properly but this record changed me in many ways. This band has always been grounded in love and trust and we’re so incredibly lucky to have exactly that from so many directions. I haven’t always found it easy to accept and to give but going through this process taught me so much more than I thought it would.
When my dad passed away in 2023, I gained a new pain but with it I also felt a new form of love. On every show of the blink 182 tour it felt like my dad was calling to me and talking to me. I would be in the middle of a song and feel him out of nowhere. Before he passed I’d be reminded of him by very specific things and see him when I see him but after he passed I started seeing him in everything. It felt like I didn’t actually lose him because he was everywhere. That type of love felt so nice and I think somewhere in processing everything I realized that I can feel that not just from loss but from the love I experience everyday. With that type of feeling, why not try to give more? Why not try harder and be present in everything? Life is precious and I want to get the most out of everything in front of me.

I can’t understand my own feelings well enough to explain properly but this record changed me in many ways. This band has always been grounded in love and trust and we’re so incredibly lucky to have exactly that from so many directions. I haven’t always found it easy to accept and to give but going through this process taught me so much more than I thought it would.
When my dad passed away in 2023, I gained a new pain but with it I also felt a new form of love. On every show of the blink 182 tour it felt like my dad was calling to me and talking to me. I would be in the middle of a song and feel him out of nowhere. Before he passed I’d be reminded of him by very specific things and see him when I see him but after he passed I started seeing him in everything. It felt like I didn’t actually lose him because he was everywhere. That type of love felt so nice and I think somewhere in processing everything I realized that I can feel that not just from loss but from the love I experience everyday. With that type of feeling, why not try to give more? Why not try harder and be present in everything? Life is precious and I want to get the most out of everything in front of me.
With that being said, thank you Dan, thank you Brendan, thank you Franz, thank you Meg, thank you James.
