I am truly blown away by the generosity of a friend. Mike Kerns, the co- owner of Paramount Recording studios in Hollywood, the largest recording company in Los Angeles, has amassed an all- stars line-up of sound engineers and literally the very best musicians imaginable, to prepare specially written new arrangements of some Standards for me to sing. We had a wonderful day yesterday recording the rhythm section, with yours truly doing vocals tomorrow and horns on Friday. I don’t share much about my “other life” as a musician but Is this my perfect day in the office? You bet!
