Reminder with Memorial Day next week, that we will be open for modified hours!

On the 25th, we will be open from 10am-7pm, with member only hours (no guests) from 9am-10am.

All classes will be cancelled.

The day everyone has been waiting for and asking after has finally arrived! The back parking lot is now partially reopened 🥳

It will be open for public use all day on the weekends and after 3pm on weekdays. Anyone who parks in the back parking lot prior to 3pm on weekdays without a parking permit will be towed.

The unbarricaded area is open for parking, but anyone who parks around the giant concrete blocks and in the barricaded areas will be towed. Please respect the boundaries, as that section of the parking lot is still being finished.

My very first indoor set!!! 🧗🏻‍♀️

I love the intricacies of climbing movement so much, and I was curious how routesetters create problems. To me, routesetting was a mystery as much as songwriting: do you start with the lyrics?? The melody?? The percussion?? What comes first: the movements or the holds? I really had no idea.

It was so much fun to be able to set a start position and then just flow with where my body wanted to go— and the result is a climb that perfectly reflects some of my favorite movement styles in climbing. I’m super proud of it and I hope, more than anything, that you have a fun time on it.

When I was trying to ascend grades around V3/V4, my favorite kinds of climbs were short ones that still had difficult moves. Sometimes, when you remove some of the fear element (aka not topping out), it allows you to focus more on refining movement, which was not only key in order for me to try hard things, but also to build confidence on the wall.

Thank you again to @tinybearclaire for facilitating a routesetting clinic just for women and reminding us how important it is to be both empathetic and empowered in such a male-dominated industry. And big shout-outs to the other women who set routes that day: Sue @torothetuna , Kathy @kathyliiii , Camrynne @camerynne , Irina @iicgld , Vivian, and Leanne; every route set that day has such flowy movement on it, and I encourage you all to go give them a try.

And of course, a HUUUUGE thank you to my dear friend @juliagjung for helping me film, and for climbing this over and over yesterday after LITERALLY running a half marathon the day prior 😭🥹
