eeeeek!!!! i didnβt think iβd release music this quickly after my last EP but i made this song on a whim in my bedroom two months ago and ever since posting the first snippet, so many (!) of you have related to this song and shared your stories with me so i just had to put it out as quickly as i could π₯²π
over the past couple of years iβve been untangling a lot of shame that iβve carried with me throughout my life. there are so many stories and emotions iβve repressed for most of my life. making this song was scary and liberating. the fact that so many of you have been able to relate and have shared your stories already feels like the song is taking on a life of itβs own.
this is for the gay boy, living in the suburbs, thinking love is something heβll never find.

iβm so proud of this song i could cry!!!!!! to sit in my bedroom and make music in the middle of the night and then get to share it with the whole world is the joy ! of ! my ! life !
this is a song iβve wanted to write for so long but never truly found the right words for it and iβm so glad i finally did. one night, almost exactly three months ago, i made the intro synth out of a chopped up pad and a bird recording i had made. i added a dance kick under it and sang my childish little heart out until my voice gave out. thatβs how this song was born and now itβs all yours ! i love you so much β thank you for listening to my stories <3
@koenigbela and me made this video on a whim in the country outside of berlin. we shot this using an old camcorder, a cheap projector we put up in my room, a camping flashlight and a construction lamp and i love everything about this video. it feels exactly like the song feels to me.
