For Fist, the first solo exhibition showcasing his metal pieces, Adriano Costa spent weeks in a foundry in Milan, creating a body of new works. Through a process bordering on alchemy, he transformed unfired clay into a new form of existence, pushing its properties and nature to their very limits. Costa worked the clay for hours, striking, deforming, and piercing it: hammers and knives replaced traditional tools, followed by thermal processes at varying high temperatures, generating forms suspended between control and chance.

The surfaces of the sculptures retain traces of these interventions, manipulations, and acts of violence, bearing witness to how direct and physical the artist’s relationship with the material really is: it is not simply shaped but subjected to tension—a kind of “forging of the world,” in which Costa’s input sees it transformed or recreated. The works become extensions of a way of thinking and a state of being: they speak not only of form, but also of how reality is perceived and experienced, as an unstable dimension in which even precariousness and error are of value.

Ciao Milano

This one is definitely the exhibition not to be missed during the Salone del Mobile
When Apartamento invites the Belgian studio Muller Van Severenin collaboration with Tim Van Laere Gallery, it’s always about design excellence.
In Silhouette : Celebrating 15 years, the iconic duo presents 15 unique candle holders in aluminum, life-size. Each form is an abstract reinterpretation of recurring motifs from Muller Van Severen’s oeuvre. Clarity of the aluminum fabric creates a rythmic dialogue through rotation in a temporal dimension. Can a form be a presence? That’s the question the iconic designers duo is asking in Milano.

‘By the Window’ by Andro Wekua is now on view at Ordet in Milan.

The exhibition’s architecture is conceived as a psychic topography. Environments and passageways transform the space of the former garage into an almost dreamlike sequence. Works created over the past eighteen years are reinstalled according to a non-chronological criterion, generating transversal resonances. In this context, paintings and collages convey a layered poetics tied to memory and inner tensions. Overlays of photographs, archival images, and newspaper pages merge different temporalities and subjects, while subsequent painterly interventions of removal and transformation open up new possibilities of meaning.

The exhibition is conceived as a collaboration between the Nicoletta Fiorucci Foundation and Ordet.

Delicious Mixtape

The Vagimule Doll doesn’t like to have music on when she is working in her Berlin atelier. She prefers complete and utter silence while in creative mode.

Since our Lady is a hoarder and her flat is filled with all sorts of junk, at some point it becomes too much, and then she spirals into a cleaning fit, and thats when she puts on some musica.

While wearing her DJane hat of BerniceBobsHerHair at the top of that list is always artistes like her best Los Angeles girlfriend and musical collaborator Miss Glen Meadmore of the bands Hot, Horny&Born Again, Pedro, Muriel & Esther (PME), the divine Kembra Pfahler and her rawk collective The Voluptuous Horror of Karen Black, the late musician/composer Laura Nyro who is also a favourite of The Duchess of Palma, San Diego Punk ingenues TheZeros featuring Robert Lopez who later became El Vez, the Mexican Elvis impersonator, Motown girlene´s The Marvelettes, trans geniustrata Amanda Lear, the fugly hunk Adriano Celentano and all time Italian great Mina.

—Vaginal Davis, March 2026

Routes is a sound project conceived by Ordet for the Lenz bookshop in Milan. The project aims to foster a dialogue between artistic practices, research processes, books, and the public, through the experience of listening.

Artists are invited to put together a playlist or an audio project to be played inside for one month. Each contribution may be structured around a particular theme or conceived specifically for the context of the bookshop, which is viewed as a cultural platform and a space for listening, passing through, and spending time.

Routes takes shape as an open-ended, ever-evolving space, where listening becomes a conduit for reflection and experimentation—one with the capacity to redefine the everyday experience of the bookshop environment.

Andro Wekua | By the Window

In the solo exhibition “By the Window”, staged in collaboration with the Nicoletta Fiorucci Foundation, Andro Wekua weaves together sculpture, painting, collage, and film in a layered dialogue that guides the viewer toward an intimate and contemplative experience. The exhibition unfolds as a world suspended between memory and imagination, in which space itself becomes a tool for reflecting on existence.

SAVE THE DATE
ANDRO WEKUA - BY THE WINDOW
OPENING THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 19, from 6 – 8:30 pm
ORDET

In the solo exhibition “By the Window,” presented in collaboration with the Nicoletta Fiorucci Foundation, Andro Wekua brings together sculpture, painting, collage, and film in an immersive environment suspended between memory and imagination. The exhibition unfolds as a contemplative world in which space itself becomes a vehicle for reflecting on existence. Central to Wekua’s practice is the figure of the adolescent, both as a biographical frame of reference and as an existential condition marked by openness, vulnerability, and indeterminacy. Through fragmented narratives and compressed temporalities, the works in the show evoke a state of becoming rather than resolution, inviting viewers into an intimate yet unsettled encounter.

Installed as a non-chronological, dreamlike sequence within the architecture of a former garage, the exhibition functions as a psychic topography. Sculptural figures withdraw from direct engagement, generating a tension between attraction and estrangement, while paintings and collages layer photographs, archival materials, and painterly interventions to merge past and present. As viewers move through this liminal space, familiar points of reference loosen, mirroring a contemporary sense of uncertainty. The act of looking becomes an exercise in openness, introspection, and the possibility of transformation.

Opening Thursday, February 19, from 6 – 8:30 pm
February 20 – April 11, 2026
Wednesday – Saturday, 2 – 7 pm

We are very happy to share the full documentation of #DavidWeiss Crack of Dawn at @ordet_ with you. The exhibition presenting seven large scale ink drawings from the 1970s remains on view through January 31.

„The large drawings entitled Morgengrauen (Crack of Dawn) show rectangular planes of alternating black ink and raw paper – ensembles of buildings in various stages of abstraction. Like stills from a film noir, one piece shows three pictures vertically stacked on a single sheet of paper; the other six show single compositions in landscape orientation on rolls of paper. The mood and intensity of expression vary in the series, which would seem to depict the same elevated view from two distances. A grim shiver of menacing fog frames the ensembles in all of the variations, except for one which shows the buildings as if denuded and in a ghostly process of
decomposition. Here, the reduction of the architectural construction to lines and planes yields an abstract composition that evokes Concrete Art.“ @fredi_niels_official
