Today I ran my very first half marathon in the gorgeous Temecula Wine Valley. The longest race I had ever done prior to this was a 5k. The course was harder than I had anticipated. Tons of hills and one huge, sharp hill at the very end to test my resolve. But such amazing views! I will never forget the beauty. So worth it. Every second. The best part of this race was having my brother Nick, Iris, and Manuel be with me at the finish line. ❤️❤️❤️These 3 humans mean the world to me. A very unconventional answer and unpopular answer, I know. But I have always felt that a major flaw in the fitness industry is that too much value and validation is placed on WHO I train.
