What a perfect way to welcome June! American Midwest Ballet and our friends at Ballet Des Moines
invite you to join us the evening of Thursday, June 4, for a free open-air ballet performance in downtown Omaha at the Performance Pavilion at Gene Leahy Mall.
AMB will perform favorite scenes from its spring production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” while
Ballet Des Moines kicks off its annual summer tour with a program featuring selections from its new
“Cinderella.” There’s also live music by Midwest performers, an all-ages ballet class onstage led by
AMB artists, and arts activities and displays by community partners including the Omaha Symphony,
Omaha Performing Arts, Omaha Children’s Museum, and PACE.
Here’s the full schedule:
5:00 pm – Activities open; live music onstage
6:00 pm – Community dance class onstage
6:30 pm – Ballet performances
8:00 pm – Event concludes
And remember, it’s FREE – no reservations or tickets required! Seating will be on the lawn, so we
suggest you bring your own beach towel or blanket if desired.

🚨 Beginning on Thursday, May 28th, the Sand Volleyball Courts will be closed for the Nebraska Beach Volleyball Tournament.

From Noon on Thursday to 10 PM on Saturday, the courts will be reserved for the tournament.

📽️ On Friday, May 29th, The RiverFront will host a free screening of Big Medicine: York Outdoors.

Beginning at 7 PM at the Performance Pavilion at Gene Leahy Mall, the film follows the story of York, the only African American member of the Lewis & Clark Expedition.
