I’m excited to be the first New Yorker in the Invisible Thread series with MetroPlusHealth, proudly representing the Caribbean community 🇯🇲🇹🇹🇧🇧🇭🇹🇩🇴🇵🇷🇱🇨🇻🇨🇦🇬🇰🇳🇬🇾🇸🇷🇧🇸🇧🇿🇩🇲🇬🇩🇰🇾🇹🇨🇦🇼🇨🇼

The series is inspired by a New York City Department of Health report of 10,000 residents, where 72% said people in their neighborhoods are willing to help one another.

To represent the invisible thread, we’re passing the City Glow candle, created in partnership with Brooklyn-based, woman-led business @nosebestcandles_. With notes of oak moss and lavender, it symbolizes the care New Yorkers show one another every day.

MetroPlusHealth strengthens that thread every day by expanding access to affordable, high-quality health care for New Yorkers, by New Yorkers.

West Indian Carnival Night @barclayscenter brought Caribbean pride to the home of @brooklynnets— with flags waving, masqueraders dancing, stilt walkers towering @kaisokahjumbiesusa, @djkingszn 🇬🇾 setting the rhythm, and a halftime celebration that turned the arena into a full Caribbean fête! 🇹🇹🇱🇨🇧🇧🇬🇾🇭🇹🇧🇧🇻🇮🇬🇩🇻🇨
