'FRANK' is a performance between the ritual, the apocalypse, and the carnival, where narrated identities are challenged, where flesh can deviate and be corrupted until it bursts and becomes unbearable.

The performance space fabulates on the “Baka Gorong”, a place located at the back of the former plantations and in front of the wetlands, where enslaved people in Suriname secretly went to carry out Winti rituals – demonized under Dutch colonial rule – and to consider fleeing.

In “𝑮𝑳𝑰𝑻𝑪𝑯 𝑾𝑰𝑻𝑪𝑯”, choreographer Meg Stuart (@megstuart33), dancer Omagbitse Omagbemi (@ogbitse), and composer/musician Mieko Suzuki (@mieko_suzuki_) meet in a sparklingly desolate, enigmatically burned-out landscape. Moving within and beyond the personal histories imprinted on their bodies, they glide and glitch between different possible worlds—between above and below, between the before and after of every passing moment.

In “GLITCH WITCH” treffen die Choreografin Meg Stuart, die Tänzerin Omagbitse Omagbemi, sowie die Komponistin und Musikerin Mieko Suzuki aufeinander – in einer verführerisch trostlosen, fast rätselhaft ausgebrannten Landschaft. Ihre persönlichen Geschichten sind in ihre Körper eingeschrieben und beeinflussen jede ihrer Bewegungen, doch immer wieder versuchen sie, diese hinter sich zu lassen. Sie streben danach, in ihrer Choreografie einen Raum zu schaffen, in dem sie die Spuren ihrer Vergangenheit überwinden können. Zwischen verschiedenen Welten gleitend und stolpernd, schwanken sie zwischen dem Vorher und dem Nachher eines jeden flüchtigen Moments.

In de voorstelling ontmoeten Meg Stuart, Omagbitse Omagbemi & Mieko Suzuki elkaar in een desolaat en raadselachtig landschap. Met het verleden in hun lichaam gegrift, glijden en glitchen ze tussen verschillende mogelijke werelden.

"C’est un trio pour trois femmes très fortes qui se rencontrent à travers une sorte de rétro-fiction futuriste. Je joue avec la notion de jeter des sorts, mais aussi de les briser, les « sorts » étant ce qui est codé ou imprimé en nous, par notre histoire ou notre généalogie, tout en imaginant que la solidarité entre femmes constitue la base de notre rencontre."
