Come grab one and stay for YO SOY TU, SOMOS NOSOTROS, a solo show of paintings by @ardo.soto and the launch of a special capsule collection in collaboration with @paalworld, with live music by Ahoraki, an Organic Music Ensemble from LA + CDMX featuring Ardo, and the release of his newest publication with @micoyotito .

Spending time and collaborating with other Latinx and immigrant artists and makers has always been a priority to me. It’s grounded in solidarity with my community and in resisting the assimilation-driven narratives I grew up with.

Raising your voice (or blowing a whistle) matters. I also think learning names, hearing stories,giving grace to uncomfortable emotions, staying in close relationship and circulating care and support are ways of practicing belonging together and creating visibility and witness in the midst of so much attempted disappearance.These are things you can practice in your everyday relationships, even if imperfectly.

Just trying to show up for people in real time. Solidarity with immigrants. Solidarity with Palestine. Always. Chinga La Migra
