Most of the prints are gone but still have some ready to hang on your kitchen walls. For those who ask about the project:
“The egg unfolds as a luminous structure.”
Before The Shell Breaks: Experiments in Seeing is a project iniciated together with @camil.labolart that approaches the egg as an active figure within a process of photographic experimentation.
The works presented in this exhibition are articulated through the photogram, produced in the darkroom without the use of a camera. In these processes, light directly exposes the photosensitive paper, generating images through contact with objects, transparencies, and variable exposure times.
In this body of work, the form of the egg is explored as an open structure: a silhouette that shifts through superimposition, displacement, and variations in density. Color operates as an active field where traces, halos, and trajectories emerge, situating the image between abstraction and observation.
By dispensing with the negative, each image is produced as a unique event. These photograms do not seek to represent the egg, but to think it through light, turning the darkroom into a space of experimentation where matter, time, and gesture generate variations within a shared visual system.
—
Gràcies @camil.labolart per ser la millor, sempre amb ganes d’experimentar i probar coses noves juntes! 🫂
Gràcies als amics de sempre que van ser-hi i als missatges dels que no van poder venir. 🤍
