This tugged at me for years as I thought every move towards stability or towards a more “corporate” skillset also meant one move away from my artistic passions. I’m starting to realize they’re more intertwined than I could have ever imagined. And I’m extremely happy about it 💛

My first silent disco experience was a wild one 😂🎧
Seeing people dance, sing, and go crazy with headphones on instead of speakers definitely took some getting used to… but the energy was REAL.
One of the coolest parts as a DJ was watching people switch channels, catch a vibe, and lock in with the music in their own world.
Safe to say I get the hype now 😮💨🔥
Definitely won’t be my last silent disco.

Yo! It’s time for a quick update on DJ things :)
I played my first party on only my laptop (twisting knobs via my trackpad hehe) in February of 2025
I got my controller in April of 2025
I played for friends and stayed up till sunrise playing alone in my bedroom more times than I can count
Then, my buddy hired me to play at his bookstore
It wasn’t a huge paid gig, but it was my first one
And it was paid
I was so proud and nervous even though I knew I’d be playing for like 10 people max
I threw out a super last minute invite and to my surprise 20 of my friends showed up
They stayed for hours to listen to me DJ in a bookstore
It warmed my heart and gave me so much confidence
Then, I started showing up to open decks
I met so many lovely people at these open decks, from bar staff, to fellow DJs, to people who just had warm smiles
Two of the guys there liked my set and we hit it off
One got me 2 jobs for wedding DJ companies
One asked me to audition for a residency at this lovely cocktail bar
In January, 30 of my friends showed up to support me at that audition
Some were old friends, some I had just randomly met a couple days prior
I felt so loved and supported that I genuinely almost started crying behind the booth
I’m getting misty eyed writing this right now lol
Later that night, my residency was confirmed
Then, I assisted my first wedding
2 days ago I booked 3 paid gigs in one day
To say I am grateful for this entire journey is an understatement
I have met so many lovely people through this process
The art and privilege it is to take people on a journey throughout a set is something I can’t get enough of and I am extremely grateful for
The funniest part is I have been scared this entire time lol
I almost didn’t show up to that first open deck
But I kept walking towards the doors of that bar despite my mind screaming at me to turn around
For those of you who have supported or booked me during this journey, I love you and I cannot express in words alone how much your support means to me
Find something you love and don’t let go
To get paid for your art is such a crazy feeling
Keep pushing and you can’t be stopped <3

Momentum >>> perfection. Every single time!
I’m going to post multiple a day for the next lil bit since I’m starting to post these today, on the 13th.
So far I have learned SO MUCH in Ableton by doing this. Holy cow. It’s insane how 2 week ago I felt like I barely knew where anything was, and now I feel pretty comfortable working within it. I still need to learn more, duh. But this is progress!
Thanks for listening! If you’re reading this then keep on creating <3 the world needs to see your art :)

Finger drumming update!
It’s not perfect! But that’s not the point :)
The point is gradual and continuous improvement by allowing myself to be trash at something when I first try it out.
Because if we don’t allow ourselves to be bad at something, we never start.
And if we never start, we never get good.
Like ever.
So go try out that thing you’ve been putting off.
Allow yourself to be bad at it at first!
I promise it’s worth it <3#

How I practice! And yes! It takes time and effort, but…
It commands results 🎻

I hope you get something in your life that you can obsess over. Whether that’s a new hobby, a form of expression, or rediscovering a part of yourself that you nearly forgot. I hope you create this year <3
Also this is the Novation Launchpad Pro Mk3!
It’s helping me branch out from just DJing to now producing my own music. Let’s see what happens!!
