TODAY 4-10pm

Vol. 6 of 14x21 ~ Ambient settles slowly into the dark. Six hours, three selectors, afternoon into night.

Most know Nosedrip from STROOM, the Ostend label he’s built into one of Western Europe’s most essential, and from his shape-shifting club sets. But his monthly NTS show features the same digger in a quieter register: new age folded into kosmische, French psych slipping into drone, dream pop holding the seams. Tonight is that Nosedrip.

Hometown hero Luke Mele has been broadcasting on NTS for years now, and tuning in feels like wandering into a friend’s living room: unshowy, generous, with absurd reach. Guitar tones and jazz on the surface; underneath, dub, balearic, modern classical, post-rock. Everything in its right place.

14x21 resident Znc returns with another long arc: voices, haze, wormholes, the spaces between. Expect French avant-folk on hurdy gurdy, lost ‘90s ambient trance, and stones rung as instruments inside a German cathedral.

A soft immersive gathering for slow disappearance.

Your silence (indoors) is once again appreciated.

Space is intimate and limited.

Sound by CSW.

Mediterranean food from Twentieth Street Garden in the backyard.

See you soon :))

✹ NOSEDRIP ✹

A decade in Stroom, and a lifetime steeped
in notes, Nosedrip is widely regarded as one
of Belgium’s finest curators, operating on a
level of his own.

As a DJ, Nosedrip turns dancefloors into
collective dreamscapes with sets, that draw
dancers into strange, shifting places, where
bizarre rhythms and hypnotic pulses weave
a spell on body and spirit. He can be your
go-to wave pop selector, dive headfirst into
new beat, house and techno or ingeniously
show you a world of ambient, indie and
experimental sounds.

His NTS show often takes a quieter tone,
leaning into an expressive zone where the
belgian can thrive.

For the very first time, Nosedrip goes B2B with @optimoespacio this summer at Eternal Sun, come join the fun!

Fixing the grid!

Low Jack - Lacrimosa
STRLP-114.

Deeply tied to the composer’s own life, the narrative of Lacrimosa invites reflection in the face of loss. This sonic work draws inspiration from Alice Coltrane’s spiritual Eternity (1976) as well as the traditional structure of the Requiem, a mass for the dead. One of its sections, the Dies Irae, evokes Judgment Day and concludes with the Lacrimosa (literally, “full of tears”), depicting the weeping of souls in search of salvation.

In Lacrimosa, Low Jack transforms autobiographical elements into a messianic, polyglot form, unfolding across eight movements that chart the storms and serenity of grief. The piece unfolds from dawn to dusk, as the eyes open and then close. An initiatory solar cycle, from which one returns like Dante in his Divine Comedy, transcendent yet grief-stricken by the loss of a guiding presence.

Low Jack crafts one of his most intimate compositions, weaving together musical archetypes and universal narrative structures, drawing from both classical lyrical music and pop standards.

released November 4, 2025
Composed by Low Jack.
Lyrics by Mélanie Matranga.
Vocal Arrangements and Co-Production by Nicolas Worms

Singers: Jeanne Zaepffel, Julia Jerosme, Max Latarjet, Mélanie Matranga and Low Jack.

Recorded between Paris and Florence at Numeroventi.

Additional vocals on “Ardenti Solis” by Kingdom Molongi aka Alain Nguzuma, David Nguzuma, Anne Sumbu, Blessing Kubuya and Dellavine Katembo. Recorded in Kampala at Villa Nyege Nyege by Declared Sound.

Fixing the grid / I have some catching up to do.

Night School & Stroomreleased the latest Susannah Stark & Band album!

‘Minor Gestures’ will be out ww on October 14th, 2025

LSSN102 / STRLP-113

Drifting in on a stream of birdsong, synths and field recordings of rivers, Susannah Stark posits questions from the outset of Minor
Gestures, her second studio album. Sung in both Gàidhlig and English, Stark is in constant dialogue with her surroundings, with
history, mythology and with the listener on her second album for cult label Stroom of Brussels and Glasgow’s Night School. Recorded
with an ensemble curated from the worlds of experimental and folkloric music in her adopted city, Minor Gestures is an omni-directional
conversation, open-ended and infused with curiosity and sensitivity. Using primarily acoustic instruments and folk modalities, the songs
here display an almost preternatural confidence as Stark shifts perspectives and narratives throughout.

Songwriting and Arrangement: Susannah Stark
Gàidhlig songwriting support: Babs NicGriogair (on Caochan, Dithis phriosanach, Ceistean gun freagairtean) Pádraig Moireach (Trì stiùirichean)
Vocals: Susannah Stark (All tracks) Cinder (Mu choinneamh, ri taobh)
Modular Synth sampling, harmonium, field recordings: Susannah Stark
Trumpet: Philip Cardwell.
Accordion: Caroline Hussey
Drums, percussion: Laurie Pitt
Recorded by Ronan Fay and Alliyah Enyo at Green Door Studio, Glasgow.
Mixing by Ronan Fay.
Modular synth and accordion recorded during GLOSS ITEM workshops at La Chunky Studios, Glasgow.
Mastering by Mathieu Savenay.
Creative direction and band photography by Dalia Neis.
“Praying” photograph by Nina Bacos.
Layout by Musheto Fernandez.
