51 countries. 5 continents. 260 days. 101,000 kilometres. Zero flights.

Newlyweds Daniel Nackasha-Keyworth (danieldkeyworth) and Mema completed an extraordinary 8.5-month journey around the globe without taking a single flight, travelling entirely by land and sea across 51 UN countries and 5 continents.

From Arctic tundras to African savannahs, Himalayan mountain passes to the coastlines of Central America, their journey became far more than a travel challenge.

What an incredible route to experience the world slowly and deeply through borders crossed, cultures shared, and challenges faced.

We are grateful to be able to share their incredible story. It is now live on NomadMania Blogs, link in the comments.

BRASIL keliling dunia 🇧🇷
Thank you @nomadmaniaworld for giving me the best birthday present by officially verifying my visits to every country in the world 🌍 I thought it would be fitting and funny to make Brazil my final stop because in my native tongue Bahasa Indonesia the word “Brasil” is a homophone for “berhasil" (which means success)🥳 So “BRASIL keliling dunia” literally translates to successfully going around the world 😂

A special NomadMania meeting took place last weekend in Boston. Our local Envoy, Can Sarica @sarica.can , who recently moved from Toronto to Boston, guided participants around the Harvard University campus, including visits to its museum and library.

It was a truly unique and memorable gathering, combining travel community spirit with the rich academic and cultural atmosphere of one of the world’s most iconic universities.

Want to check in with some of the events taking place at the Extraordinary Travel Festival? Want to check in with some of the leaders of the community?

At ETF, we are a "big tent". We are not a club and do not have a membership, but we welcome all communities and all travel clubs.

ETF is the platform to meet travelers from all corners of the globe and can be members of any of the clubs (of maybe none of them 😉 )

On this Counting Countries episode, I speak with two leaders of the community. Both amazing resources and I encourage you to create free profiles on both platforms.

Orest Zub of
@nomadmaniaworld
and
Ian Cumming of
@travelmassive

Having these leaders of the community afford you the opportunity to be updated and informed about resources available in the travel community.

Listen in and enjoy!

Greetings from Boston… The NomadMania community which brings together the world’s most passionate travelers recently hosted an inspiring gathering in Boston, a city renowned for its rich historical and cultural heritage.
Hosted by NomadMania’s New England Envoy, Dr. Can Sarıca, this special meeting brought together fellow travel enthusiasts and stories that transcend borders. As a Turk, we take great pride in the fact that—alongside excelling in his professional career—he also serves as the NomadMania Envoy representing the New England region. We’ve just wrapped up four intense days in Ouro Preto — a final preparation visit ahead of our flagship annual event, the NomadMania Conference 6, taking place this June in Brazil 🇧🇷

Our managing partner @orestzub, travel experience manager @pedro_peti and a local assistant @gab.americano carefully inspected every detail to ensure that more than 100 delegates from 40+ countries will enjoy an unforgettable experience.

Ouro Preto is the perfect setting for such an extraordinary global gathering. This year’s event is built around several complementary themes:

* UNESCO World Heritage sites
* Delicious Mineiro cuisine
* Modernist Oscar Niemeyer architecture
* Brazilian Valentine’s Day celebrations
* The FIFA Club World Cup atmosphere in Brazil

With almost a month still to go, everything is already in place for what promises to become yet another milestone in NomadMania’s history.

You can find all the details about the event here —

Tudo bem 👍

Recently I arrived in Brazil, where I’ll be spending the next few months.

The main reason: the upcoming NomadMania Conference — our company’s flagship annual event, bringing together over 100 travelers from all over the world.

Since many delegates are already making the journey to South America, we’re also organizing several pre- and post-conference tours around the continent.

One of the most exciting ones is our **Guianas Crossing Tour** — covering the far north of Brazil, French Guiana, Suriname, and Guyana.

This is a fairly unique itinerary that we’ve been developing together with local travel experts for almost a year. It’s also a part of the world that can be quite challenging to explore independently.

After the initial announcement, the tour sold out completely. However, due to additional interest, we’ve decided to launch a second group in the second half of June, right after the conference — and I’ll personally be leading it.

You can see all the details here:https://nomadmania.com/events/ (Or follow the link in stories)

The good news is that the first group will travel ahead of us, meaning many logistics and operational details will already be tested in advance. That should make our trip smoother, more enjoyable, and more predictable.

We still have a few spots left. Let me know if you’re interested — I’ll follow up quickly. We’ll be closing registrations in the coming days.
