FLEX was directed by Mumbi Tindyebwa Otu (@mumbitindy) and I saw it on ‘Black Out Night’, which was dedicated to the Black community to celebrate Black stories, artists, and audience members.

I can’t even describe the vibe of that evening other than… the most ‘black’! Hahaha! Energy. Positivity. Support. We, the audience, were singing the 90’s hip-hop and R&B tracks aloud every time we heard a jam. Having multiple moments of cracking up so much so, even the ensemble couldn’t help but break character and laugh. And becoming so emotionally invested in the twists, turns and decisions of characters and their choices… tears.
