@lewittaudio 1040 on lead vocals today, sounds amazing. Having four different tone characters available on a remote in the control room is way too sick. I’ve used the 1040 as one of my main mic’s for years and if the source is good, it’s going to sound top notch on the 1040.

I’ve been using Softube’s Console 1 since the MKII release in 2017 and it’s become a core part of how I mix.

I come from a hybrid analog recording background, I’ve installed and worked on multiple versions of SSL consoles over the years so I don’t take workflow lightly. There’s a certain standard when you’re used to mixing on a desk: speed, intention, and tone shaping without friction.
