I just learned tonight a good friend and long time business partner of mine passed away. This was someone who truly cared about me and my family. He was there for me when my daughter passed and he was one of the kindest and most selfless people I had ever known. This is a person who I spent countless hours brainstorming Ideas, talking about life and building a legacy for him to leave behind. I hope I did him proud and I will miss the adventures we had. Goodbye my friend, I hope you found peace. Tell Sheena how much we love her. You of all people have earned your time to rest and I thank you for being such a great friend and influential part of my life.

Got my 51 Willys M38 cranking but still no fire. It's getting close. I can't wait to hear it fire up 🔥. My truck is still down and just found out I may have to put a bullet in it and get something else. My avalanche has a collapsed lifter and a shattered cam shaft lobe. Not really worth fixing with the amountofmiles on it. Lets hope I can find a truck that will last me without breaking the bank.

What a crazy adventureattending the Tombstone Film Festival. I met a ton of incredible filmmakers. Shared some great stories from on set and our film won the award for best locations. But the trip back was one for the record books. As I was on the return trip my truck broke down in Benson, AZ. I did everything I could to troubleshoot the issue but no luck. I called every shop in town and all were booked out a week... 😳 A week!!! When I thought all hope was lost one shop offered to squeeze me in along side another customer. I can not say enough good things about this family owned and operated shop. Dels Tire and Auto really did everything they could to help with my situation. They worked on my truck for two days and only chrged me for what they were able to do. Ultimately my truck had a computer issue that could only be resolved by taking it to a dealership. The nearest was 45 minutes away in Tuscon. After calling all the tow trucks in the area the cheapest was going to be $329 and then Justin at Dels Auto came to the rescue again and offered to give me a tow at no charge because he was heading that way. Halfway to Tuscon his tow truck blew a radiator hose. (I must have picked up a ghost in Tombstone) we fixed the hose and he got me to the dealership. After another couple of days in Tuscon doing a little filming and production meetings I finally made it home. Had to leave the truck in Tuscon but it feels good to be home. Now I just have to hope my truck can be fixed for cheap. I could not have survived this trip without the help of my friends and family. I am truly blessed to have had so many amazing people come to my aid in my time of need.

• So — after months of initially tentative courtship and years of deep friendship and commitment that have utterly changed me as a man and made me better as a person — I proposed to this beautiful, singular woman at golden hour.

Just kidding.

Breathtaking shot by the inimitable @nick_westerlund from a proof-of-concept in post.

Studio-caliber short format iterations are so crucial these days to securing funding for the larger project you’ve envisioned. Keep throwing your best 💩 at the wall, and eventually it will stick.

To be revealed ❤️🤙🏻
