New babies for spring in NYC. @ysl and @burberry —- love studs.
Everyone always asks about the ring. @louisvuitton I bought it @harrods last year after seeing it in a magazine. I swear it must have been a special edition because you can’t find it anywhere.
They need to bring it back.

Honored to guest lecture @fitnyc
Besides a Master’s of Social Work, I also have MFA in creative writing. NOT an MBA.
A fine art degree.
Yet, I taught myself finance, which is a sector that often feels impossible to understand for creative types. It’s not. It’s designed, in part, to keep people out especially, historically, women.
With a computer at your fingertips you can learn anything. No excuses. And if you don’t know, don’t be afraid to ask questions. I asked a million stupid ones when I first started.
For emerging designers and founders, I distilled what venture capital is into a simple 45 minute lecture; a crash course on how to raise. Happy to do it again and again and again for anyone who wants to learn.
Xx

Never thought I would be speaking at The Harvard Club.
Last week I told a story about how, 9 years ago, just blocks from where I was sitting amongst red carpet and rare books, I had to sell a first edition signed copy of Virginia Woolf’s Room of Her Own to pay bills and make ends meet. It was the most precious and expensive thing I had at the time, which tells you how much I was worth.
A rare book dealer on the UES wrote me a check for just 10k. Now, almost a decade later, the sweet poetic justice is that @revengecapital is literally built on the back of Virginia Woolf’s words. I’ll never forget what it took to get here and how we must reach back to always pull others along with us.
Thank you @handinhandint for partnering with us. Your organization is a godsend to women around the world who dream and need to be financially free.
See you in Africa soon ❤️

Exactly what you’re thinking now I was thinking too 💙
Press for UK, photography by Andrew Foxall.
Believe this incredible coat was vintage @maisonvalentino but can’t remember for the life of me.
Shoes @diormaison and honestly they are a great buy because you can stand in them for hours as long as you don’t get the super high heal. Stockings with sling backs, classic punk.

My Mom, Ellen Daly would have been 85 today.
I think from the first moment I saw her, second picture, I fell in love with her.
She was beautiful in that Kennedy 1965 kind of way.
She was Irish, born in the Bronx. Funny, smart, kind but no push over. Driven. She was tenacious. Well read and talked politics always at the table. An explorer.
She was a feminist. She told me I must stick up for people who have no voice. She also said once, “Not everyone is going to like you. Good. Get over that one quick.” Practical little one she was.
And my very very best friend. We loved to be together. Loved.
She told me as she was dying that she had loved living, that she had great respect for life. She did. An oncology nurse (her calling which she practiced full time until she was 74 years old, until they told her she couldn’t practice anymore because she had leukemia), an extremely dedicated mother and grandmother — anyone who knew her was lucky. People still stop me to tell me what an angel she was, how good she was to them.
She believed in human dignity. She believed in equality, fiercely. She told me to never not stand down from those values. Feisty one she was.
Gwen is her spitting image now. We are all her. I still can’t believe she is half of me and I am half of her. That was the first lottery ticket I pulled of a few in my life — man I won the jacket pot with her.
She picked that phrase on her gravestone. To honor her let’s all remember that today or all days.
“Earth is the right place for love.”
All your offspring … we try everyday to make that true because of you.
You were the best, my little peanut of a Mom. The best ❤️

@netflix for @victoriabeckham doc whose dresses I’ve always worn over the years, was honored to be invited to the premiere. Thank you Victoria Newton. You are the loveliest.
The doc gives you a close look into VBs drive to remake herself, renting a room in a hotel with just five dresses — inviting some press.
We are all wise to remember that what binds us together is our humanness. We are all trying. No one comes into this world and is given a playbook. Achieving, adulting, parenting, child-ing, sibling-ing, marriage-ing … not always easy. Go with grace.
I fucked up and wore @stevemcqueen even though I love that top. Should have worn her. It’s ok. I’ll do better next time 🙏
