You meet a lot of people doing this job. And sometimes if you’re lucky over the years, you get to know them and have a lot of fun with them. Matt Schmidt was one of those people. Just a genuine, great guy who loved his family and his family’s legacy. The restaurant business can be tough especially a family restaurant. Anyone raised in that environment and continuing it knows what it is to work hard. You saw that with Matt, and you saw how much he loved it. Through our mutual friend Matthew I was happy to know that everything I thought about Matt from interviewing him was true. My heart goes out to all of his friends and family members. And to the community of people he leaves behind. But especially to his wife and daughters 💔
