Amazing day in Beacon NY for Dia Art Foundation Spring Benefit May 16. Gathering of wonderful artists, patrons, supporters friends and family of Dia Art Foundation. A day spent among fabulous art in the magnificent former factory always inspiring. Honored to have been a choreographer-in-residence at Dia for over a decade. Joan Duddy, the late dance curator gave us a home to create and present work in the Mercer Street building in Soho, NYC. Choreographers include Susan Osberg, Yves Musard, Molissa Fenley, Laura Dean among many others. It was where "Dance Across Borders" was launched with dancers from across the globe, and continues on today.

Join choreographer Muna Tseng and culture critic Carlo McCormick in conversation on April 11th at CART Department’s (@cartdept) Free Parking gallery, as part of the exhibition “Keith Haring: In the Street.”

An intimate conversation about 1980s downtown New York City, where life, art, and friendship orbited into a close-knit community of artistic collaborators. Muna will display and discuss her late brother Tseng Kwong Chi’s photographs and the drawings that Keith Haring made in 1982 for her dance Epochal Songs.

A celebratory warm-up party featuring G-Bo The Pro, a longtime friend of Haring’s, will begin at 2pm. The talk begins at 4pm. Seating is limited and will be first come, first served. RSVP at the Eventbrite link in our bio (click “join waitlist”).

Eric Shiner (@ericshiner), Marka27 (@marka_27), Brad Gooch (@bradgooch), and Larry Warsh will also host panels as part of this exhibit. All RSVP links can be found at cartdept.com.

These panels are part of a larger showing of Haring’s three-dimensional practice including original works, photographs, and the just-released book “Keith Haring in 3D” from Larry Warsh, Glenn Adamson, Phaidon/Monacelli.

“Keith Haring: In the Street” is on view to the public April 10–19, daily from 12–6pm at Free Parking, 16 Morton Street in the West Village.

Tseng Kwong Chi’s self portraits now on view at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), New York City. “In the Shadow of the American Dream,” Gallery 202, presents Kwong Chi in dialogue with Agosto Machado, David Wojnarowicz, Martin Wong, and Peter Hujar.

As we live through another shadow of American spirit, we find retrospection and admiration in this room. Thank you to curators Stuart Comer, Sophie Cavoulacos, and Abby Hermosilla. On view for one year.
