Standing in the crowd at @balancecroatia 2025, soaking in Guy’s magic morning set with a sea of strangers and friends alike, on the verge of tears, he drops a ‘work-in-progress’ version of his remix of ‘Tassolem (don’t worry ‘bout me)’. I go running to the stage to say “thank you”. We embrace and exchange honest words of admiration. It was a moment I will never forget: a feeling of unity, love and joy.

@guyjdiary , an artist I have a deep admiration for, remixed ‘Tassolem (don’t worry ‘bout me)’ into a detailed, hypnotic journey embodying what ‘progressive’ really means to me.

When I made the track for my album, I felt it was very special so to have Guy request to remix this track specifically felt like the stars aligned. I’m so glad he took the task on as he absolutely nailed it. Thank you, Guy. I hope you all love it as much as I do!

This could be our most anticipated release yet ‘Tassolem’ sees the coming together of two of the most respected and influential forces in progressive / melodic house today; Jamie Stevens and Guy J.

Lifted from Jamie’s debut album ‘A Beginners Guide To Floating’, Tassolem is a musical piece that unfolds in a confident, slow-burn revelation.  It doesn't announce itself with theatrics so much as emerge and evolve as it intelligently unfurls building deep trippy drum breaks with textured sounds and enveloping vocals.

Guy J brings the heat too, flexing his best production muscles creating a true masterpiece, completely re-envisioning one of his fave producers and delivering a masterclass in remixing at the same time.  He intentionally selected Tassolem to remix, taking its hallmarks of musical integrity and magic core elements and layering subtle shifting textures and grooves over deep melodics which steadily build momentum that is felt subtly as its story unravels gradually. Melodic fragments shimmer beneath the surface, working up deep felt emotions as subtle hair-rising vocal snippets tease in and out without spelling the outcome until it washes over you in swathes and your arms uncontrollably raise in appreciation. An understated anthem if you will, this is progressive music in its truest form: not about drops or drama, but a real authentic journey.  There’s a saying to observe and enjoy the ride, not the pay-off which feels very apt here.

I’m super excited to see this collection of remixes of my track ‘With You’ hit the virtual shelves. There’s now a superb remix from @lukechable , @dannybonnici and @ivangough . It’s an absolute belter as you would imagine! Pure late 90s big room feels on this one! We as custodians of all things To Die For in the good world we call music welcome back Mr Sam Hopgood for a brand new EP. He comes with something sounding undeniably fresh and enticing on many fronts; an impressive double header if you will.

Already riding high in the Best of Progressive charts on Beatport and supported across the underground smorgasbord of DJs from Anthony Pappa, Marsh, Gustin, Tini Tun, Gai Barone, Gowzer, Nick Stoynoff, Shall Ocin, Blancah to James Harcourt, Nicolas Rada, Chris Fortier and Blake Jarrell; you know something special is cooking.

‘Coherence’ adopts a bouncing bassline as its monster hook, underground and organic in feels yet deeper and housier in sound coupled with a catchy vocal, snappy percussion and hypnotic arps enhance the experience making the track perfect for warm ups through to end of night sweatathons. The ‘Hypno Mix’ deepens the trip and appeals to the pure prog heads, dubby and dance floor focused, it strips the groove back for an intense sonic ride. Finally, ‘Runaway’ rounds out the EP with a deep, dubby vibe but familiar vocal looped for maximum effect. Wide-screen and cinematic by design, this sounds like modern progressive house at its best.
