World’s FASTEST McLaren 720S Takes on the Quarter Mile! 🚀

The latest carwow drag race delivered an epic supercar showdown! @matwatsoncars pitted the new McLaren 750S against two titans of tuning: a heavily modified Ferrari 488 Pista and the legendary “world’s fastest” tuned McLaren 720S, with @y14nny and @racingdriver_sam getting behind the wheel.

Here are the explosive results from the track:

McLaren 750S vs. Tuned Ferrari 488 Pista (920hp)

The 750S proved its factory speed, winning the standing quarter mile in 10.44 seconds [09:53], even though the Pista’s launch control was unfortunately compromised by a sticky button! The 750S also took the win in the brake test [11:35].

McLaren 750S vs. Tuned McLaren 720S (1,115hp)

This was the main event!

The fully built, 1,115hp McLaren 720S, driven to its full potential by @racingdriver_sam, proved why it wears the title of “world’s fastest.”

• Quarter Mile Dominance: The tuned 720S absolutely flew, clocking a blistering standing quarter mile time of 9.87 seconds [17:42], officially beating the 750S’s best time of 10.2 seconds.

• Rolling Race Domination: The power difference was even more apparent in the rolling races, with the 720S pulling away dramatically and hitting a reported speed of 188 mph [18:39] to the 750S’s 168 mph in the 30 mph run.

Dave’s C63 returned to us after a dealer software update wiped out his Stage 2 calibration — a common issue when factory systems overwrite modified ECU data.

We reinstated the full Stage 2 package, recalibrating boost control, ignition timing, fueling, and torque mapping to extract maximum performance while maintaining engine safety parameters. With everything dialled in, we pushed it further than before.

Final figures: 547 BHP, sharper throttle response, increased mid-range torque, and a significantly more aggressive exhaust note under load.

This is how the C63 should have left the factory. 🔥
