@vaararaha

Tein tänään sanotusta Janne Hast:in säveleeseen junassa. Ensimmäinen työvaihe on sävelten ja tavujen määrän ja pituuden selvittely suoltamalla tämmönen intuitiivinen nonsense-sanoitus sävelmän rytmiin. Yleensä tällä tavalla tuleva tavara on silkkaa puutaheinää, mutta aina välissä sieltä soran seasta tippuu muutava kultajyvänenkin rännin rihloihin.

The caves of Kalambaka 🪨✨️
Visiting Meteora was incredible, a surreal experience ⛰️ Its name comes from the Greek "metéōros," meaning "rocks suspended in the air"... Some of the cliffs rise over 600 meters above the town of Kalambaka. It's a town known for its monasteries (which were the least of our interests since we're not religious) with incredible views, we visited briefly St Stefanos.
These immense rocks were formed 60 million years ago during the Paleogene period (the first part of the Cenozoic! Almost the beginning of time!) and, as we understood from our visit to the Meteora Geological Museum, they were part of an ancient sea that, as its level dropped, exposed this marvelous landscape of sedimentary rocks.
We had the chance to climb to the most curious rock, "Adrachti." It was so mystical walk in the rock forest! Perfect goblins activity 🐸

Jaakko Laitinen & Väärä Raha - viikonlopun keikat:
PE 15.5. Seinäjoki @bar15basement
LA 16.5. Oulu, @45_special_oulu

Jaakko Laitinen & Väärä Raha in May 2024
@vaararaha
Reposting this set of photos I took of one of my favorite bands in the world from about two years ago. Coincidentally they are playing at @tahtisalit Helsinki tonight April 2nd so you have a chance to completely blow your mind right before the Easter break!! 🤩
This set has turned out to be some of my most widely spread work as a photographer. As the band is a true legend at gigging constantly all over Finland as well as Europe, I have bumped into these photos in posters and online ads all over. Makes me very happy. ☺️
We took these shots before their gig in Myyrmäki. This was mid May and that year the spring had already turned into full blown summer at that point. I remember feeling bad for the dudes in their colorful suits sweating in the schorching temperature (at least for Finland!) and myself having to deal with the relentless early Finnish summer sunlight. But the guys were real pros and much fun was had during this quick session. 😊
I have had the honor of photographing the band many times since and I have also been filling in as their substitute bassist a number of times. Always the best kind of business with Väärä Raha! 🥰
