Rooted in nature, shaped by craftsmanship,
grounded in connection

I don’t often share long stories but this one feels quite special to me. This is partly about a feature in @crashmagazine from a while ago but more about the story around it and what it meant to me at that time. And still does.
Last summer, while preparing for my show in Lithuania, Paris was somewhere in the background – not really as a concrete plan, more as a feeling I kept returning to. Around that time, I received an email about a feature for Crash Magazine. Shortly after, a few things happened to line up in Paris during the same week and I made a fairly spontaneous decision to go. Mostly to meet a few people but honestly, it felt more intuitive than strategic.
During that visit, something shifted. I didn’t have a clear plan yet but I felt strongly that this was where I should be. Kind of… needed to be. It’s hard to explain but you know that feeling that comes from somewhere deep within? The one that’s somehow way louder than logic? So I worked my little bum off all summer to be ready to leave by the end of September. And then… I moved?!
The issue was released around the same time but somehow it was never quite the right moment to go and find it. Until one day – during the same week as my first brand’s presentation here in Paris – I walked into this lovely magazine store/coffee place with a couple of friends and suddenly thought: wait… what if they have the issue here? (Little did I know it would later become one of my favourite coffee spots haha @bonjourjacob_ )
I asked, found it, opened it… and saw the article.
10 upcoming designers, whaattt?!

not everything begins in bloom
like the willow tree
the strongest growth happens unseen
deep in the roots
new city, new environment
what I thought would be a time of expansion
became something else
a return to the beginning
to the foundation
months of not knowing
of quiet
of learning and unlearning
accepting a different rhythm
slowly shaped a new kind of grounding
not in pushing for more
but in allowing
like the willow tree
bending, adapting,
growing deeper into the soil
invisibly
until, in its own time,
those unseen roots
allow the lushest branches to show

Sharing a small part of the development behind this handcrafted bag and earrings.
What started as ideas on paper and a sketch on a palm - came to life through many many hours of work and, most importantly, the hands of a talented craftsman. Always grateful for the chance to create, for the process itself, and for the shared curiosity and learning that comes with working alongside such people.

It’s been a week since the show, and I still don’t know where to begin. I’m beyond grateful and honoured to have been a part of the very first Vilnius Fashion Week. Thank you @ellelithuania Being part of this truly meant a lot.
I couldn’t be more grateful - not just for the outcome, but for everything that led to it: the people I met, the incredible team I got to work with, the kindness we shared, and the unforgettable moments we created together. My heart is truly full.
Thank you to each and every one of you who made this experience so special. Here are a few glimpses I’ll always treasure💜

Dar viena išskirtinė „ELLE Iconic Night“ dizainerė – Gabrielė Mockevičiūtė. Kiekvienas jos kūrinys – tarsi laiko fragmentas, formuojamas gamtos įkvėptų patirčių ir ryšių. Tekstūros, spalvos ir formos jos kūriniuose susipina su Lietuvos meistrų rankomis drožtais mediniais elementais, kurie paverčia kiekvieną drabužį bei aksesuarą unikaliu, organišku ir gyvu.
