Just Announced: ML Buch headlines the next @outlinefest on Saturday, August 1 in NYC.
The Copenhagen-based composer, producer, guitarist and vocalist @mlbuch_ makes her Knockdown Center debut, leading an expansive lineup, carefully curated in collaboration with OUTLINE.
The two-stage festival also feature UK electronic savant Klein, experimental piano prodigy Precious Renee Tucker, New York post-jazz collagist Slauson Malone 1, rising avant R&B songwriter Samba Jean-Baptiste, Corridos Ketamina—ultra-modern interpreters of regional Mexican songcraft, ultra-online electronic explorer Kaitlin Simotics, and Danishchamber music mavericks, TLF Trio.

‘You Make a Fire, You Make a Camp’ is out today. Five chapters, five strangers stuck together for five years, performed by five lead singers: this song is written by Jura for her vocal quintet consisting of @mlbuch_ (as “Olivia”), @ydegirl (as “Cassie”), @duehelene ( as “Thea”), @clarissa.connelly (as “Julian”) and @jura_indexspring herself (as “Julie”).
Just as how friends might remember a shared memory differently, we’re looking at the same melody from five different POVs here. Perspective and temper vary. Thank you for singing your parts in the songs to come, ladies!! Much love, Jura
