things learned making this 2 hour track:
1. Having a solid concept, even a simple one, expedites the decision making process for me
2. Identifying my references at the start will help keep me in the lane I wanna be in
3. Keeping my project ruthlessly organized helps me be way more efficient
4. My ear is my go to, but tools like span can help if I'm experiencing audio fatigue (when working on the final mix)
5. If i'm using samples (aren't we all) don't get lazy, doublecheck the key (made such as rookie mistake here in my rush)

to celebrate new music friday - I'm starting a small release series called Two Hour 2sdays — completed tracks written and arranged in roughly two hours.

today's release is a fun, messy morning-after, high-calorie junk-food disco house experiment for 130+ BPM sets. Available on bandcamp and soundcloud, link in bio :)

this week's 2 hour project is a breaks track, and man it is making me scramble

will share when finished.. maybe I start doing new music Fridays and release these??

doing this to abandon ideas about perfection (not possible anyways), to let go of my ego (not helping), exercise fast decision making (an underdeveloped muscle), and to find my flow (the happy place) 🌊
