Wrapped up a great visit from @ellapweber @unidepartmentofartKnew it would be a beauty when she held up a used car mat and asked ‘you think we can do something with this?’ Smashed a lot of trash and made some magic prints!

I've been a fan of UNI'S Aaron Wilson and Tim Dooley for a long time now and their incredible collaborative work @midwestpressed
Their work is absolutely punk rock but at the same time it's absolutely NOT punk rock. They make meticulously layered screen prints with all the intense colors and gestures and vibrancy you'd think came out of a spontaneous burst of creative energy but I don't imagine any of this happened without loads of contemplation and discussion. How could it?
I found this qoute by them - "we want to steer the process and be run over by it simultaneously. "
All artwork involves process of course, but some artwork is ABOUT the process. (And is it going to far too speculate about what those process choices say about the people making them?)
