Marcela, Teté, Mychel, Sonia y Mónica son un archivo vivo, lleno de recuerdos e imágenes de una época en la que pudieron subsistir. Ellas son parte del Archivo de la Memoria Trans Argentina (AMT), un espacio dedicado a la preservación, la protección y la reivindicación de la memoria trans, hoy más necesaria que nunca. El Archivo es un lugar de encuentro para todas esas mujeres que defendieron los derechos de la comunidad cuando la lucha comenzaba a gestarse. […] “

Es un artista visual y director creativo actualmente radicado en Buenos Aires. Se formó en Lima como director de Artes Gráficas y en Santiago de Chile como fotógrafo de moda. Su trabajo se centra en el registro y la búsqueda de una estética local y cotidiana con énfasis en la comunidad LGBTIQ+, los grupos racializados y la migración, así como en preservar la cultura y la identidad latinoamericana desde un enfoque documental.

Es un artista visual cuir argentino que celebra de una manera creativa su comunidad, a través del abordaje de la identidad, el territorio, las corporalidades y el medio ambiente como un paradigma colectivo. Desde la construcción manual y el diseño de la puesta en escena, se destaca la calidad pictórica con que aborda las imágenes. Su trabajo gesta espacios de voces diversas que festejan la comunidad LGBTIQ+, mientras que su visión está íntimamente ligada a su deconstrucción como ser humano, a su proceso identitario y al deseo de contar historias que lo atraviesan sin responder a las categorías binarias.

However, the Guaraní have always had a deep spiritual sense that runs their lives. Their temple is Nature itself.

A portrait of sisters Analía and Carina Castillo cradling a local semi-precious stone. This stone serves as a powerful, tangible metaphor for the shared, communal memory and collective wisdom of the Indigenous Mbyá Guaraní people. It reflects how fiercely precious and sacred their identity is, knowledge that is not relegated to the past, but remains vibrating, alive, and latent within the community.

This ancestral legacy is carefully woven through generations, passed down by the elders and the spiritual and political leaders. They act as the guardians of this memory, walking a path that has been continually guided by their creator, Ñanderu.”

This photo is part of my project “Yvy-mara ey” in collaboration with the Indigenous Mbyá Guaraní Community “Tekoa El Chapá” located in Misiones, Argentina.

El agua es vida, es lo que repetimos siempre. En los territorios de las comunidades mbyá guaraní cobra su sentido más urgente y literal. Esta imagen es parte de mi serie “Yvy-mara ey” (Tierra sin mal) en colaboración con la comunidad “tekoa el chapa”. Lo que a simple vista parece una escena de inocencia y ocio de niñxs jugando en el arroyo de su comunidad, es en realidad un testimonio de resistencia, el agua es su sustento vital; de ahí se nutren, se bañan, pescan. Es el hilo que conecta y mantiene viva a toda la naturaleza que los rodea.
Sin embargo, el caudal de los arroyos es cada vez menor. La tala indiscriminada y un extractivismo que no conoce límites están destruyendo la selva misionera, agravando las sequías y el cambio climático, es un golpe directo a las comunidades indígenas, a cultura y a su supervivencia. No podemos hablar de proteger la naturaleza si no protegemos y acompañamos en la lucha a nuestros hermanxs.

Damos por hecho que el agua es infinita. Esa es la ingenuidad más peligrosa de nuestra época. En esta actualidad siniestra, bajo gobiernos de extrema derecha y un capitalismo feroz, el agua de todes está siendo saqueada.

En Argentina, la intención de derogar la Ley de Glaciares es un ataque directo a nuestra supervivencia. El negocio minero desregulado busca secar nuestros ríos y arroyos para llenarse los bolsillos, dejando muerte a su paso y condenando a pueblos enteros en nombre de la rentabilidad.
