Für den Auftakt des Sonus Obscura Festival 2026 kommt eine neue Band aus Nürnberg auf die Bühne:

METH ’N’ WEAPONS

Das Projekt bewegt sich im Spannungsfeld von Doom, Sludge und Noise. Langsame, schwere Riffs treffen auf reduzierte Strukturen und eine insgesamt dichte, zurückhaltende Atmosphäre. Statt klarer Hooks stehen Wiederholung, Aufbau und Klang im Vordergrund.

Die Vocals wechseln zwischen zurückgenommenen Passagen und raueren Ausbrüchen, ohne sich in den Vordergrund zu drängen. Insgesamt entsteht ein Sound, der eher wirkt als sich aufdrängt.

Als Opener setzen METH ’N’ WEAPONS den ersten Ton des Abends in der Dreieinigkeitskirche.

"Meth´n´Weapons", eine im Jahr 2025 gegründete Sludge Band aus Nürnberg, bedient soundgewaltig und mit berauschender Härte kein gängiges Narrativ.
Die vierköpfige Band, bestehend aus Daniel Brunner (Vocals), Tim Ludwig (Bass), David Kohl (Drums) und Nick Marschel (Gitarre), verbreitet mit kompromisslosen Grooves,einer extra Dosis Röhren Amps und fesselndem Gekeife eine einladend bedrückende Atmosphäre, die es schafft dich in ihren Bann zu ziehen und dir einen auditorischen goldenen Schuss setzt. 
Der klare Beweis, dass Weltschmerz, ein bisschen Hexogen, Katerstimmung, emotionale Ausnahmezustände und erste Entzugserscheinungen gar nicht so schlimm sind.

Face the Downfall ist eine 5-köpfige Metalcoreband aus Innsbruck, die im Jahr 2019 gegründet worden ist.
Der Sound wird unter anderem von Bands wie Architects, Bury Tomorrow oder Polaris beeinflusst - ähnlich wie diese Bands beschäftigen sich auch
Face The Downfall in ihren Texten mit gesellschaftskritischen sowie persönlichen Themen.

Soapbox Radio ist ein Punkrock-Trio aus dem Süden, das mit ehrlichen Texten, viel Energie
