Relinquishing control during a shoot like this was key. Even if I had tried to control them, the snakes would have never given me all the beautiful shapes they did. To work with those reptiles is to understand you simply have to go with the flow and grasp the magical moments as they unravel in front of your lens.
I often compare working with snakes with shooting on film. It encourages you to be more patient and wait for the magical shots.
